chapter 11

Third person P.O.V.

Annabeth walked into the big house and into Chiron's office. Artemis was already inside waiting with Thalia just like last time. "Well what have you learned?" The goddess asked.

Annabeth took a moment to catch her breath before speaking. "Well there isn't much information about him specifically but this is everything I have pieced together." She said as she laid out pictures and prices of paper from the packet she had in her hands.

"Apparently he fought in both wars like I did but after the second giant war he vanished. No sight or word of him for almost 100 years, so obviously he is at least partly immortal. Nothing hear mentions his whole name only parts I know his original last name was Jackson." She looked pointedly at Artemis at this point before continuing. "Anyway suddenly he popped back up 50 years ago. And still almost no info about him he started calling himself Talon and taking odd jobs for money. He made a small group of four other people with him and the started getting more and more popular. Well that's not the right word. Infamous is correct, they could take the jobs, hits, and tasks that others deemed impossible. Then Talon became a ghost, no chatter about him for him at all, the only thing related to him at all was this."

She pointed to a photo of an old statue if an angel. One of the wings was half broken off and someone had placed a scythe in the angels hands. "The myth is that if you have a contract you go there and place the four elements in front of the statue and he will get ahold of you to get your contract."

"What do you mean place the four elements?" Thalia asked.

"Any representation of the four elements. Like a candle for fire, a stone for earth, bottle of water for well water, and a bag of lays for air or something you know." Annabeth joked. "But seriously all four elements must be present before your contract will be accepted."

"Where is that statue located?" Artemis asked.

"Ecuador cloud forest."

"Very well I will head there at once." Artemis said before Annabeth stood up too.

"I want to go with you, Talon who ever he is has caught my interest I want to meet him." Annabeth declared looking the goddess in the eye as if daring her to say no.

Artemis quickly looked to Chiron with almost a panicked look. However he could only shrug as a response. With a large sigh she nodded her head to the daughter of Athena. Thalia quickly hugged her friend and walked out talking about what they would need and who they would take for this quest.

After all the supplies were gathered for the quest Annabeth, Deric, Jason, and Piper as well as the hunt waited as Artemis came over to teleport them. "Alright everyone I can't take us all the way so we are going to an airport to take us the rest of the way."

There were some complaints from the hunters but they were quickly quieted down by a glare from their goddess. Everyone got closer together and held onto each other as Artemis flashed them all to a private airport. "This airport is owned by Apollo so it's free of charge for us and will take us anywhere." She said to the demigods that were looking around.

They loaded all their things onto the waiting jet and climbed inside. "Wow, we should travel like this more often Milady." Phoebe said as she relaxed into one of the leather seats.

Thalia who was sitting beside her had the arm rests in a death grip, didn't seem to agree with her fellow hunter. "This will be a 14 hour flight so go ahead and get some rest." With that everyone settled back as the plane took off.

"Thalia did you stay up the entire flight." Annabeth asked her friend who had dark bags under her eyes.
