"What do you mean his soul isn't in Elysium?" Poseidon bellowed at his brother, his face red with rage. "After everything he has done for us, for you, after he saved us so many times. He should have earned the right to spend eternity in Elysium tenfold if not more! He had earned the right to go to the isle of the blessed even."
"You miss understand brother his soul isn't 'not in Elysium' his soul isn't in the underworld." Hades told his brother quietly while looking at the floor. "Neither I or any of my servants have found a trace any trace of him. His soul is missing."
The wail of anguish that came from Poseidon's throat drown out the gasps from the other gods. Whispers started up all around. Who could have done this? How could this happen? Poseidon seemed to age before everyone's eyes, his hair thinning and turning grey, his eyes losing their sparkle, the fresh ocean breeze sent about him turning slightly sour. "I think I might know something that might help."
All eyes turned to the blond who opened the door to the throne room door. "Annabeth" Athena called to her daughter "what do you mean?"
"Just after they.... They stabbed each other I saw Gaea say something to him but I didn't hear what it was." Annabeth mumbled through her tears "im afraid she did something to him."
"Oh fleesy do me a solid" Athena chanted flipping a dracma into some mist that Poseidon frantically made.
"Show us Gaea's final words to Percy."
After the message faded there was a loud snap as Poseidon's throne cracked. His eyes lost all hope. The throne room was deathly quiet until Hestia started crying by the hearth muttering, no no he's gone why. Surprisingly Ares spoke first " then let's break in there and get him back." As he stood with a full set of armor on.
"That would be impossible, even if we could get down there, even if we could fight through all the monsters and Titans where they are strongest until we found him, even if we could get him out alive, as soon as he stepped outside Tartarus he would reappear in the pits again. He had been cursed there by one of the strongest primordials." Hades told the war god. "I don't know how to get him out of there. He is lost to us."
