Accident

December 5th 2016 8:00am
It was around 8:00am and I was getting ready to go to David's. We had an appointment with the doctor to check on our baby. I got my shirt on and grabbing my keys headed out. Checking my phone I got into my car, got some gum and turned on the radio. I started driving and felt like today was going to be a good day. As I was turning onto David's street I put my hand on my belly to try and relax a little. Then out of nowhere a car came spinning into mine.

Not only did I hear the metal crunching, I felt it too as it trapped me in my seat. I couldn't move. Slowly my eyes began to close. I was blacking out from the excruciating pain I was in.

Meanwhile.....back at David's.

I was just about to call Liza when I heard a crash. I looked outside and being the good person I was, I ran to see if anyone was injured. What shocked me is what I saw up closer. It was Liza's license plate and her car. And sure enough all bruised and bloody there she was with glass and metal all over her.

"Liza!!!" I screamed. "Someone call 911!" I turned shouting at the crowd of people. Sure enough police, ambulances and fire engines came speeding to the scene. "Please help my girlfriend. She's pregnant" I said as they began to assess the scene.

"Sir we need you to step back. We have to carefully get her out of this car without her hitting glass or metal. How many weeks is she?"

"Only 6. Please we can't lose this baby. And I can't lose her". Gabbie was on tour so I couldn't call her. I decided I was going to just wait and see how she and the baby where. I got in my car and drove to the hospital.

"What do we have?"

"Female, 20 years old. Multiple injures sustained in car crash. Drunk driver hit her. She's also six weeks pregnant."

"Okay trauma 3." The doctor said rushing with her on the gurney.

Back to Liza's pov:
I felt like I was dreaming. I couldn't see anything and I couldn't wake up either. The thing was, I could hear what was going on around me. "She's got glass in her hip and in her head. She's going to need surgery." I heard one doctor say.

Next thing I knew, I was in the operating room. But it was all in a dream because they put me to sleep. In the dream, I was walking. Not just regular old walking but out of my body. There was me that was asleep and the other me. I kept walking, only I wasn't pregnant. I walked down the halls only to see David. He wasn't sad or anything in fact he was holding a baby. "Jen our baby is so cute.". I turned to see some blonde in a wheelchair right next to him. Feeling a pang of jealousy and hurt I started to run.

Nobody saw me. It was almost like I was nonexistent. Invisible and alone. But then the dream started to go dark. Not emotionally dark but I couldn't see anything anymore. Thats when I realized what was happening. I was dying. I began to see flames in the dream. One voice shouted at me. "Rest in peace" and it never spoke again.

4:50pm- David's pov

I stood up as I saw the nurse walking towards me. "Your girlfriend is okay. She's out of surgery and she's waking up. She did flatline once but she's okay. She will have to be careful and not move a lot for a few weeks though. We placed some screws in her hip and she also has a bad wrist with pins temporarily in it. She can get her wrist wet but it will have to be in a splint the rest of the time. As for the baby, it is doing great. No problems or injuries." She told me what room Liza was in and I headed there to find her awake but already in tears. She also looked scared and confused.

"Hi baby" I whispered to her getting her attention.

Liza pov:

"It wasn't real?. Do you still love me?. Am I still pregnant?" I asked him quickly.

"Of course I love you. I could never love anybody else. What wasn't real?" He asked concerned.

"A dream I had. It was where you and some other girl had a baby together."

"That would never happen, Because you and I are having a baby together." He said kissing my belly. Carefully He got on the bed behind me so I could lay on him as I got sleepy. "I love you" I whispered to David. "I love you too babe. Do you want to know what the doctor said?"

I turned my head and nodded. "You didn't break anything but they had to prevent your hip bone from breaking so there's screws there. She also said that there is a pin in it. But both of there's are temporary don't worry."

I nodded and slowly drifted off to sleep knowing I was safe.

David's pov:
While my baby was asleep the police came to the hospital. They wanted to talk to Liza about the accident. I figured it was best to let her sleep for a little bit.

"Excuse me, but is this Elizabeth Koshy?" A cop asked coming into the room.

"Yes. Why?"

"We need to speak to her regarding the car accident she was in. Before you wake her up, may I ask who you are?"

"Her boyfriend and father of this child, David Dobrik."

"Very well. Wake her up please."

I nodded and woke her up. "Liza baby wake up."

Liza pov:
I woke up only to find two cops in my room. Feeling exposed and embarrassed in just a hospital paper gown, I tried to cover myself up. "Shhh I got you." David soothed putting his jacket over me. I thanked him and looked at the officers.

"How did the crash happen?"

"I was driving and out of nowhere, this truck came spinning at me."

They asked me some more questions before I got tired. "Okay let me say this. It's a little fuzzy. I'm tired and everything hurts and I don't feel like talking about someone who almost killed me." I said angrily.

The officers nodded and thanking me for my time headed out. When we were alone I looked into David's eyes and kissed him.

"I was so scared...that you were dead." He whispered. That brought me into full blown tears. "So was I. I was scared that I wouldn't live to marry you and give birth to our child. I love you David Dobrik. More than anything." And we sealed it with a long kiss.
