May 10th 2018-
Residence of Liza and David Dobrik.
10:30am

We were sitting on the couch enjoying our first non busy morning when David got a text. Hearing the chime, Aspen turned her attention away from the tv and looked at his phone. It was a message from Gabbie. The Gabbie we sort of drifted apart from. It's not that we didn't talk anymore it's just we have a family now. And unfortunately she just didn't make an effort to be in Aspens life and our daughter is the number one priority. The ironic thing was, Aspen knew her. She had only seen her maybe 3 times before and knew her face. So when David's phone rang and Gabbie's picture showed up she squealed "Yaee" or "Gabbie" as she tried to pronounce it. David frowned and looked at me. I shrugged not knowing why she called either but he got up and answered the phone.
Phone convo:
David: "Gabbie? What's up?"
Gabbie: "I'm outside your door. Can I talk to you?"
David: "Sure I guess, be right there".
End*
With that he hung up the phone and scooped Aspen up to give her a kiss before placing her in my arms. "I want you there, behind the door or something but I don't want to talk to her alone." I nodded understandingly and grabbed one of Aspens pacifiers to keep her quiet while we stood by the door listening.

"Hey Gabbie, ummm how did you find our address?" David asked. "Oh I asked Corinna to give it to me. I asked Zane but he wouldn't. Anyways I had a question. Do you know how long we've been friends?"

"Three years, maybe four why?"

"Just making sure you remembered. Don't forget I also introduced you to Liza. If I hadn't been your friend, she wouldn't be in your life. "

David started to get a little pissed so without her seeing, I rested a hand on his back and that seemed to cool him down a little. "What are you saying Gabbie? You hosted that party but Liza and I met on our own. Look I have a day full of errands and things to shop for so can you make this quick?"

"David..I like you. I know you like me too and you have ever since we met you. In fact I love you and I want you to come back and live with me. You've always been in love with me and just afraid to tell me. You can just move on from Liza. I've seen single moms do it all the time and who even cares about that baby if it's not even yours? Besides your relationship is dying anyways. She reached out to touch his face but he moved.

"Are you freaking crazy? I don't love you. I used to love you like a sister and a best friend but wow. First you barge in here telling me you love me, secondly you not only tell me to walk away from my marriage! But lastly you insult my child. Not that it's any of your business but my baby is mine. So don't you dare come in here saying I love you and my relationship is dying. We never had a chance Gabbie and I never loved you." He spoke sternly.

"If you love your precious marriage so much, where's your wife? Off cheating on you and leaving you home with your wedlock baby?" Now was my time to come out and I stood next to David Aspen firmly in my grasp head turned away from Gabbie. "I suggest you leave now before I call the police for trespassing and soliciting. Leave my husband alone and don't talk to us again." I began to close the door when she stopped it. She grabbed my hair and pulled me to try and get to David. Luckily I knew self defense so quickly I set my baby down and while telling her to run, I kicked Gabbie. Finally she hobbled off and I shut the door. I took a breath and then Aspen came running back crying. "Oh baby your okay. Momma is okay and your just fine." I soothed cradling her. David after watching to make sure she left, ran to me. Embracing me in his arms and holding Aspens head. "God I love you. You know I would never leave you for her right?" He asked. I nodded knowing he truly was a great husband and dad.

"Do you want to get a restraining order? " David asked later while settling Aspen into her crib. I thought for a second and then shook my head. "I don't think we need to be that extreme but we need to tell our friends to cut off contact with her. For now all I want to do though is focus on our family. Our precious little girl and her little brother."

"Sister" David corrected. I smiled and let him lead me to our bedroom. "I never imagined this you know. I always thought I'd just be stuck in Texas for the rest of my life. Now I just can't believe I have a family of my own. A husband who truly is my best friend and my soulmate that has helped bless us with our little girl who may not be the healthiest baby but she is the cutest baby." I was in tears by the end of that statement and immediately David cradled me in his embrace. "I love you so much and I'm lucky to be a first time parent with you. Now let's get some rest." He whispered wiping the tears of my cheeks. I soon realized that i was exhausted from today and laid down in David's arms.

TIME JUMP:
May 12th 2018-

"Baby wake up. Today's the day." David whispered. I groaned but turned to face him. "What's today?" I asked playing along. He smirked. "Oh ya know just the day where we confirm that I've been right all along." I laughed but got up. "I told you once before and I'm telling you again. I was only wrong once."

We continued our playful banter with with each other as we drove to the doctors office. "Alright Ms. Aspen, you ready to go find out if you get a brother or sister?" Not really understanding what we were saying she giggled and rested her head on my shoulder. We sat in the waiting room with a few other couples for about ten minutes before a woman came and sat next to us. "Wow you guys are making a mistake. Come on your teen parents and your acting like this isn't going to ruin your lives! You guys still have school! You can't have a baby! Not to mention this is your first child. It's gonna be known as the mistake child!" The woman exclaimed. I was about to speak when David placed his hand on my leg.

"For your information, we aren't teen parents. We are adults and even if we were teens we would still celebrate this baby. We can have a baby and we will. This baby is not a mistake and will grow up in a loving home with us as her parents. So please before you open your mouth, know your facts." With that we moved over a row and watched Aspen who was playing with the toys.

"Elizabeth?" I looked and there the nurse was waiting for me. "How are you guys today?" She asked seeing David as well. "Fine thank you. As for my name you can call me Liza. No one calls me Elizabeth." I smiled at her and we continued into a room where I would be weighed. "This your first baby?"

"No, we have a one year old. She's playing with toys right now."

"That's adorable. What's her name?" "Aspen" I replied. Obviously that was not a name she expected to hear but nevertheless she smiled. Hearing her name, Aspen ran over and took my hand. Soon enough we were settled in the room. "You ready to do this again baby?" David asked taking my hand and kissing it. I nodded and looked into his eyes. "More than ever."
