Happy Birthday Liza!!

March 31st 2017-
8:30 am

I woke up to the scent of breakfast and then opened my eyes to see David and Maliboo on the bed.

"Happy birthday Liza." David said grinning from ear to ear.

"Thank you" I laughed looking down at my tray. On it was eggs, bacon, white toast, and a glass of orange juice. David got in the bed beside me and got the remote. Together, while I ate breakfast and gave him bites of it, we watched edits of the two of us on YouTube.

Thank you for breakfast baby. "What do you have planned?"

"Oh my love, that's for me to know and you to find out. I've already packed for you, now come on we need to get dressed."

"Packed? Are we going on a trip?"

"Indeed we are." Was all he said.

I shrugged knowing I would find out more later but I was excited. By 10:00 I was ready and arrangements for Maliboo were made. Gabbie had offered to watch her while we were away.

David drove the tesla and I watched as I recognized the way to LAX. "So we're flying. Can you tell me where to?"

Smiling, he shook his head no. "You'll find out soon."

"Alright." A grunt of surprise came out of me when I felt our baby girl nudge me hard. "Jeez baby girl, we remember you don't worry. But it's Momma's birthday so please be gentle today." I talked to her hopefully.

As if purposefully ignoring me, she gave another hard elbow and it hurt. "Baby girl be nice to your momma." David said putting his free hand on my ever expanding belly. She still had yet to kick so it was any day now.

Responding to Davids voice, she gave a soft nudge and fell asleep. "You're the baby whisperer." I told David laughing.

12:45 pm:
"Okay we've gotten past security and we are at our gate. Look at the monitor." David hinted. I looked up and then looked back at him. "New York?"

He nodded and looked at my happy expression. "I LOVE NEW YORK! Thank you baby". I gave him a kiss and then we boarded the plane. David had booked us first class and it was amazing.  Our flight was going to be about a 5 and a half hour journey so I decided to take a small nap.

2:30-
I woke up from my nap and decided to get something to eat. About to take out my menu, something made me freeze in my tracks.

"Liza? Love what's wrong?" He asked concerned. I looked at him with tears in my eyes and a smile on my face. "Sweetheart what is it?"

I took his hand and placed it on my baby bump. Speechless for a minute, David looked up at me with the same expression. "Is that what I think it is?"

I nodded. "Our baby girl just learned how to kick." Soon I was laughing as she kept kicking excited she learned how to. Seeing how she would react, I tickled my bump and she kicked in that spot repeatedly. This lasted for about 5 minutes. The kicks got softer eventually and then they just stopped.

"Baby girl did you tire yourself out?"

With one last kick, she turned and fell asleep. We reached New York shortly after and we were ready to go to the hotel. Jason had his phone out and was snapchatting as we all were.

"So David surprised me and we are in the big apple. That's right, NEW YORK!" I laughed and posted it to my story. Jason and Nik decided to go out for dinner but David and I ordered room service and stayed together in our shared room.

"Do you mind that we didn't go out tonight?" I asked David when we were sitting on the couch together.

"Look at me. This is your birthday. Everything is up to you. You want to go out? We go out. You want to stay in? We will order room service or from a restaurant and eat here. I'll be with you the whole time."

"I don't think most 21 year olds don't drink on their birthday but I have something better. My first birthday with our girl in our lives." I laughed.

"And many more to come." David finished kissing my forehead and getting up to grab the menu. I opened my laptop and opened Netflix. When it loaded, I clicked on our newest obsession, Greys Anatomy.

After looking at the menu, I decided on cheese pizza and he decided on a burger. This lasted for about 3 hours before Jason and Nik came back, drunk and happy.

"Let me guess. You went out, drank a lot, and met a girl." I said getting up.

"Even better. We met two." Nik bragged. This conversation lasted for about 10 minutes before I closed the door and looked at David. "Let's go to Times Square." I suggested.

He smiled and helped my get my onesie on. Since it was my birthday, I thought it would be funny to go out in public like this. Both ignoring the fact it was 10:45 at night, we headed out. We went inside almost every shop shouting my name and my age. Somehow my face got on the billboards and it said "happy birthday Liza!"

That made David and I burst out in fits of laughter. Around 11:30 we decided to call it a night. "How was your birthday babe?"

"The best I've ever had. Why? Because not only did I have you by my side, it was the little ones first time being in our lives during birthdays."

"I'm glad you liked it. Now come here." He said now sitting on the bed arms outstretched for me. Happily obliging, I made my way to the bed and rested my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. "I've been thinking, since we decided that our little girl is going to have my last name, what if we included your name in hers?" David thought out loud.

"You mean like: Elizabeth?"

"Mhmm. Would you be okay with that?"

I turned my head and looked into his deep chocolate pool eyes. "I'd be happy and I think our tiny love would appreciate that too."

With that he kissed my lips and took my brown curly hair and began stroking it.

"I love you Elizabeth Koshy. Congratulations on your 21st birthday." We kissed again, and after shutting off the light, I fell asleep listening to his heartbeat and our hands were on the underside of my jump, feeling the movements of our princess.

I know you probably won't see this, but in the off chance you do, I wanted to wish you a very happy 21st birthday. You are the funniest person ever and an inspiration to me. Keep your head up and keep doing what your doing!!
