Hi, my name is Courtney Summerfield and I just moved from Australia to America. I'm in year 11 which as the Americans call it, junior year. My parents have split and I'm living with my mum while dads back in Australia. Mum got a work promotion and I was forced to go with her. I'm not happy about leaving my friends and boyfriend Oscar behind but yet I'm so excited. Oscar and I agreed that we will try and make a long distance relationship work but somewhere, deep inside, I have my doubts.
~Arrived at the new house~ We pulled up outside of the address and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was beautiful. I jumped out of the car not worrying about bags and ran across the plush green grass until I reached the door where a woman with darker skin was waiting. She looked very professional. She wore a white blouse and a grey pencil skirt. She greeted me as I opened the door and ran inside ready to explore. The interior was just as great on the inside as it is on the outside. The first thing my eyes are drawn to is a big staircase winding down on both sides of the room. I immediately go up and claim what seems to be my room then go back downstairs to find mum.
~The next morning~ I got out of bed and made my way downstairs. Mum was in the kitchen with some coffee. "Good morning sweetie, did you sleep well?" My mother asked me without looking up from a magazine. "Yeah. My bed is really comfy once it is made." My mum chuckled. "Listen" she started, "Today's Saturday so I thought we could go shopping and get some new outfits for school and work!?" "Sound great", I replied with."let me go get changed." I pulled on a white top and a pair of denim high waisted shorts.

I didn't bother putting my hair up so I just slightly curled it after retrieving my curler from a box on the floor. "Courtney are you ready to go?" My mum called out. "Coming". I quickly grabbed my shoes and ran downstairs. When we got to the mall I immediately went to find Starbucks and got an iced coffee. After that we went to Forever 21, Macey's, Victoria's Secret and about six other shops. "I'm hungry I'm going to get something to eat" my mum told me. I just nodded and kept looking at a clothing rack. Out the corner of my eye I saw three gorgeous looking girls walk roughly my way. They were all tall and quite tan with amazing bodies that would make anyone jealous. Two of them were blonde and the other a brunette. They took long strides. The blond on the far right was on her phone causing other people to get out of her way. Actually, everyone moved out of all of their way. They came over to my general area to meet two super hot guys. How did I not see them before?! The middle blonde chick started flirting with one of them and the other cutie looked bored and uninterested. He kind of had a look on his face saying 'really again?!, get over yourselves'. He was also tall. He had dirty blonde hair, muscular arms and dark, dark brown eyes. Almost black. I didn't realise that I was staring at him that bad until he flashed me a smile and started walking over to me. God he had an amazing smile, I couldn't help but smile back. He was about five metres away from me when I snapped out of my trance.
