So as it has come to my attention, you guys apparently don't read this part but guess what, I am still going to write it. Mainly just to annoy some of yous😏 You Know who you are but then again you probably don't because you don't read this soooo, yeah. Anyway, some of you guys might and it's my time just to say something without giving an update at the end of my chapters so I will continue to do so. So, um, Thanks?

"What the hell do you want?!" I hissed at him. My afternoon was ruined and I knew that this scowl that was on my face would be there for the rest of the night. "Please Courtney, just listen to me?" I scoffed, did this guy really think that I wanted to hear what he had to say?! "And what if I don't want to?" I asked. I really didn't even bother having patience with him. "Just hear me out Court? I rang to apologise." Oh hell no! He did not just call me Court. That nickname was reserved for special people in my life and he definitely had not earned that spot. "Ok, first of all Greyson, don't you ever call me Court again! Secondly, my time is very precious and I don't need it wasted by you so make it quick then." Here we go.
"Thank You. I, um, I am really sorry for not giving you a ride back home. It was a dick move and I was rude to you. I don't know what happened but, it looked really serious and you were quite upset. I swear I will never do anything that stupid to you ever again and please, I will do anything to get you to forgive me. What do you say?" Wow. His apology sounded really heartfelt and sincere. Was Greyson feeling guilty? Maybe I should be a bit nicer to him. "Thank you Greyson. I'm still not happy with you but if an opportunity comes up, I'll let you know what you can do for me." Ahhh. I actually felt a bit better. "Thank you soooo much Courtney. Anything, just say it and I will do it. Again, sorry. Enjoy the rest of your night."
"Goodnight Greyson."
"Night Courtney." And with that I hung up. The anger I was feeling before washed away with his apology. I texted the others letting them know that I was fine and that they didn't need to worry. Tomorrow was going to be great! Sarcasm if you didn't pick up in it.

~Wednesday morning~

I wasn't looking forward to today at all. I felt like I needed to wear something fierce that will boost my confidence and let others know that I wasn't weak and broken. I picked out some high waisted leather shorts that I got from Forever 21, a blue floral bustier top and some heeled combat booties. For my makeup I went with a cat eye and a matte dark red lip. The rest I just did normally. I grabbed an apple and a muffin for lunch and made my way to school. Mum had the day off of work today so she was still in bed.

~Before School~

I entered the hallway and headed over to my locker. There were students everywhere and it was loud. I had maths first which was just what I needed today. Again, sarcasm. I put my combo in when I noticed someone next to my locker. "Hello Courtney." It was Natalie and Hailey. Her voice was so sweet and fake yet still dripping with venom. "What do you want?" I asked her looking into my locker instead of at her.
"I just came to see how you were, that's all." She tried to sound so innocent. I clenched my right fist as my left hand held my open locker door. Hailey giggled and I glared at her. "We heard about what happened and after you didn't show up for school yesterday I thought that I had better check on you." This girl is so frustrating. Someone had to put her in her place and how I was feeling today, I was going to be the one. I slammed my locker door shut and it made a loud bang. Hailey flinched but it seemed to have no affect on Natalie. She just stared into my eyes as I glared back into hers. Other students around us had gone quiet and looked over at us to find out who made such a big noise and why. I turned to fully face the barbie fakes and took two steps forward so there was not much room left between us. I chuckled lowly which came out more if a growl. "And why would you be interested in whether or not I'm here?" I asked, my tone of mean entertainment. "Parker stopped his party for you! He never stops his parties for anyone or anything. You need to learn your lesson and stay the hell away from him Courtney. I have no idea what he sees in you because well, look at you. But what it is, is nothing compared to me so just give up honey. It's not gonna happen."  Those b!tches have no idea what I went through or what I can do either. No more nice Courtney any more. "No! You're not gonna happen. I don't think you understand that if he wanted you that you would be his already. And, I don't see that he has labeled you his girl. I can be friends or go out with whoever I want and you can't stop me b!itch. You have no idea who I am or what I am capable of. You have no idea why I moved here and you really don't want to find out. So, instead of me staying away from Parker, I highly suggest that you stay away from me. Because once I'm finished with you, that pretty little face of yours, won't be pretty anymore. Got it?!" So I might have gotten a little carried away and was yelling into their faces. Which, made everyone in the corridor watch us. Including Parker. Who was talking to Max. I looked over to him, tears filling my eyes and he looked absolutely astounded. Just like everyone else. A small smile playing on his lips. I broke eye contact with him and walked past Natalie hitting her shoulder with the left side of my body. Tears were streaming down my face as I walked hastily to the bathroom. I ran into a cubicle. I was the only one in the bathroom when I heard the door swing open and footsteps come over to the cubicle I was in and someone tried to open the door. Oh pleeeease don't be Natalie and her brat sidekick. "Courtney open up. I know you're in there." Oh, it was Max. I was kind of relieved to hear his deep manly voice. "I saw what happened. Please just come out." I wiped my face for excess tears and probably smudged my makeup in the process. I opened the door slowly and looked at Max's face. He sadly smiled at me. A look of concern on his face. He opened his arms and I rushed into them hitting his toned chest hard and he wrapped his strong arms around me tightly. I sobbed into his chest for a few moments, squeezing my eyes shut tight before he pulled me back. He wiped a tear off of my cheek with his thumb and rested his hands on my shoulders. "You don't have to tell me anything but what you did out there, I thought was pretty amazing. They shouldn't have threatened you and I will always be here to pick up the broken pieces if you're hurt or just want to talk. I have two pretty good shoulders for you to cry on if you want them." He said all that whilst looking deeply into my eyes. I laughed softly at his humour. I didn't know that Max had a soft, sensitive side but I really liked it. "There's that smile I was looking for." He said smiling himself but not quite reaching his eyes. "Who knew that Max Vearmont was a big softy." I joked nudging his arm. He chuckled lowly. "Let's get you cleaned up shall we? We can skip the first two periods." I nodded and moved over to the mirrors using water and paper towel to clean up my face the best I could. Max was leaning on the wall with one leg crossed over the other as he looked down at his phone. I walked over to him so I was about two metres away. "Want to go get some ice cream or smoothies or something?" He asked me putting his phone away. "That would be amazing." I smiled at him. He stood up and took a step forward reaching his hand out for me to take. He flashed me a smile that made my brain numb and he pulled me out of the girls toilets. "Let's go."

~Authors note~

Oh My God guys. I bet you didn't see that coming. So what is going to happen next? Is this a date? What will Parker think? Natalie's not getting any nicer and what did Courtney mean when she said that they don't know why she moved? Also thanks for the covers and please vote, comment and share. THANK YOU.
