The Light
She was light
The light that was as bright as the future
As soon as she walked into a room it lit up
She was the light at the end of the tunnel
Then it happened
That tragic day when the world started to crush her
Now when she walks into a room it doesn't light up
She was no longer as bright as the future
She was no longer the light everyone saw her to be
She was no longer light
She was now darkness
She is that feeling you want to escape
As soon as you see her you start to run
Her body is as empty as her mind
Her bones hollow
Her mind once filled with happy thoughts
Now filled with dark and dangerous ones
She is darkness
