Katara walked beside the servant who led her to her room. She didn't speak much but Katara didn't mind, she wasn't in the mood anyway.
As the reached her door the servant opened it for Katara and bowed down to her.
"This is your room Princess Katara, if you need anything I will be around." She said keeping her face down.
Katara smiled and lifted the servant's head up to look to her.
"It's alright ma'am, you can just call me Katara." She said as she walked through the door.
"Thank you Katara, oh and also I heard you and Zuko got in a small quarrel, I just wanted you to know that he's been like this for the past couple of years ever since his parents died, so don't take it personally." She said to her before bowing one last time and walking away.
Katara blinked as a pang of guilt swept all over her body.
His parents died? That must've been horrible, and I was so rude to him.
Katara thought before shutting the door behind her and entering her room. She stood in awe at the large room, it looked like the master bedroom. It has a queen size bed filled with satin blood red sheets with gold trim on the edges, a vanity with a large mirror, and a dresser that could hold all of her belongings in more.
Katara set her bag down on the vanity and looked in the mirror, her clothes were wet from falling into the side pool during the fight so she lifted her arm up sucking up all the remaining water from her dress and hair and dumped it in a small plant in her room.
Katara walked over to the two french doors and opened one and stood over the balcony looking at the view. She smiled at the sunset, she knew the one thing the fire nation and water tribe had in common was that beautiful sunset.
She touched her necklace and closed her eyes knowing Sokka and her family were watching the same sunset. As she felt herself tear up she shook her head and walked back inside closing the door and started to unpack her stuff.
She began to fold her clothes and put it in the dresser along with her bag and other items from home as a soft knock came on Katara's door before the servant girl was back.
"Supper is ready down the stairs, Iroh wanted to inform you, Prince Zuko and Princess Azuela are waiting for your arrival." She said to her before closing the door.
Katara sighed not wanting to have to look at Zuko or any of the others for the rest of the night but she knew she had to. She brushed her long brown hair out quickly before walking out of her room and down the stairs to the dining area.
Katara looked around the dining area it was very beautiful. The floor and walls two different shades of red with a golden long table in the middle with black chairs surrounding it. Firelord Iroh sat at the end of the table and Zuko and Azuela sat next to each other.
Katara walked over bowing to Iroh before sitting down in her chair and staring at her plate silently. She could feel Zuko's glare from across the table.
She had to admit the food looked amazing, it was a bright red soup with different vegetables in it, on the side it had Water Tribe noodles with a chop stick on the side. Katara raised an eyebrow as she looked to the noodles.
"Um, I was unaware you guys also ate the water tribe noodles dish." Katara said looking up to Iroh. He chuckled to her as he shook his head.
"It is not a traditional Fire Nation dish but we figured we would serve it today in honor of you." He said to her softly smiling.
Katara half heartedly smiled as she picked up the spoon and took a small sip of her soup.
"Thanks Firelord Iroh, I'm flattered." She said softly still looking down.
