Katara slept well that night, her mind racing with what had happened the night before but she tried to forget.
As she woke up she looked out the window to see the sun just barely peeking the horizon so she figured it was early. To relieve her mind of the past events the day before Katara figured some water bending would help.
Katara quietly crawled out of the large bed and slipped the nightgown over her head placing it on the floor. She placed her whitish blue sports bra and matching spandex on and brushed her hair out pulling it into a tight braid.
She wrapped her lower arms with white training tape before looking in the mirror one last time and walking to her door. Grateful she wasn't wearing any shoes to tap against the floor Katara quietly tip toed down the stairs and walked outside to the arena where her and Zuko had fought the first day she was here.
Katara inhaled and exhaled deeply as she closed her eyes before swinging her arms around slowly. At first nothing happened, if anyone were to be watching her she'd look crazy but a couple seconds later the water from the small pools began to rise up on either side of her.
As she felt the water rise next to her she began to move around more dancing across each stone of the arena, she as she swung her arms around gracefully she lifted her leg back so the water would flow underneath her and back above her head. Little did she know, she was being watched.
Katara continued to dance with the water until she heard a girl's voice interrupt.
"So you really are a water bender? I heard my brother taking about it but I never thought it was true."
Azuela's voice said to her as Katara froze at the sound of her voice and the once graceful water fell to the ground making a splash against the concrete.
"Sorry I probably should've given you a warning before I came, I didn't mean to scare you." Azuela said laughing as she walked to Katara.
Katara let out a sigh realizing it was just Azuela as she stretched her arms out smiling before she bowed to Azuela.
"You seem to be a really talented bender, maybe you and I could do a little one on one, what do ya say?" Azuela asked smiling crookedly to Katara.
She blinked to her rubbing her arm softly.
"Oh I don't know, I'm not exactly an expert and I don't want to waste your time Princess Azuela." Katara said hoping she would leave her alone.
"Oh non-sense, I'll go easy on you I promise." Azuela said in an innocent tone as she got in a fighting stance.
Katara shrugged as she got in a fighting stance as well, she couldn't exactly argue with the princess.
Zuko woke up not too shortly after Katara had. He sat in his bed for awhile wondering about what happened last night or what he was feeling.
As he thought he heard the sounds of grunting and flames being thrown from downstairs so he shrugged figuring he'd find out what it was.
He pulled on some workout shorts but kept his shirt off cause he didn't really need it. As he walked down the stairs.he peaked through the window seeing Katara with water tentacles formed around her and Azuela in the air with flames above Katara ready to fire.
Zuko's eyes widened as he ran down the rest of the stairs and outside.
How could Azuela already be mad at Katara?! She's only been here for one day!
Zuko thought as he ran outside before he realized they were just dueling. He let out a sigh of relief as he watched the two go at it. Zuko was impressed at how well Katara was holding her own fort down against his sister, she was tough.
