"Maia, you need to eat". Remus said, placing a pancake on a plate and putting it in front of me.
I pushed it away, "I'm not hungry."
"You haven't eaten in three days, and before that you were barely eating throughout the month. You're pretty much skin and bone. Even if you just eat half."
"I SAID I'M NOT HUNGRY!" I screamed flinging the plate into the wall.
The loud crash brought Hermione and Tonks running.
"What's going-" Hermione began but realised it was just me.
"Sorry." I mumbled, embarrassed by my outburst.
Remus sighed heavily and repaired the plate, "Tonks, Hermione, breakfast?"
They nodded and sat down either side of me. I noticed a small blush creep onto Tonks face when Remus spoke to her.
"The Weasleys are arriving today." Remus said serving up breakfast for the two.
I leaned back in my chair and zoned out.
~~~~
"Maia!" Fred and George chorused as they walked through the door.
"Hey." I mumbled giving them a small hug each.
"Wanna go play Quidditch?" Fred asked.
I shook my head, "Not in the mood".
"Come on Maia...." George whined, then suddenly pick me up, threw me over his shoulder and began walking outside.
I hammered my fists on his back, "Put me down!"
"Sorry Princess, no can do." George replied.
I continued to kick and squirm until he finally put me on my feet.
"I said I was not in the mood!"
Fred rolled his eyes, "You're never in the mood any more Maia. Just let go and have some fun like we used to."
"Let it go? Let it go!?"
"There you go, now you've done it." Hermione called from the doorway.
"Both my parents are dead! Gone! Never to see them again! And you say 'let it go'!"
"I didn't mean it like that...I didn't think-"
"You never do! You just say whatever comes to mind believing it to be funny!"
"Calm down Maia." George pulled me away from Fred.
"Don't tell me to calm down! Everyone here has been telling me every single day that it will get better! But I don't feel it! Just because they have gotten over it!" I screeched.
"My parents are dead!"
"Maia stop! What about Harry! Both his parents are dead too and he just lost the closest thing he had to family! How do you think he feels right now? At least you still have Remus!" George yelled.
I fell silent.
"Think about that." Fred glared and stalked off. George followed him, leaving me alone outside.
~~~~~
"Maia!" Hermione called, one late July morning, a 5 days after my birthday to be exact.
I pushed myself off the couch and made my way into my room, which I was now sharing with Hermione. I opened the door, Ron and Harry, who arrived last night, were sitting on the floor talking while Hermione was petting an owl.
"There are 2 letters for you." She said handing over the envelops.
I opened the first one.

Maia,
I sorry it has taken so long, but Sirius's will has been finalised with the Ministry of Magic and it is now available to you. I will find a time in the next week or two to deliver it. Harry is also involved in the will.
Sincerely,
Professor Dumbledore
I passed Harry the letter for him to read.
"I'm included...?"
"Of course you are. You were like a son to him!" I assured.
"Thanks." He mumbled.
I smiled slightly.
