Chapter 14

"I'll send you a letter once I settle down in London." Addy promised.

"Good luck, let me know if you need help or anything." I smiled.

She nodded, "I hope your friend likes his...broken radio."

I laughed, "Don't worry, he loves to fix things."

"Oh." She laughed and gave me a quick hug, "Bye Maia."

I waved goodbye to my new friend and made my way up the hill, carrying the radio, kitchen witch, and the small, wooden wolf statue.

My legs and arms were aching as I made my way down the second hill. The Burrow was in sight and I couldn't wait to sit down. Mrs Weasley was out in the yard, shovelling compost.

"Maia dear, you're back!" She greeted, "I see you've had quite a shopping spree."

"It was such a cute little village! I loved it." I exclaimed.

"That's good dear."

I noticed some annoyance in her tone and expression, "Are you alright Mrs Weasley?" I asked.

"Just look inside." She growled, glaring at the house.

I frowned and walked to the door and pushed it open. I glanced around the room and nothing seemed out of place.

Crack

I screamed in fright and jumped about two feet into the air.

"Maia!" Two very familiar voices cried happily.

My bags of shopping dropped from my hands and I gasped. My two best friends were standing either side of me, mischievous grins on their faces.

"Fred! George!" I screamed, this time in excitement, and pulled them in for a hug. "What are you doing here? You don't finish until next month!"

They smirked, "We felt it was our time go,"

"Umbridge made that pretty clear,"

"And we want to start a joke shop,"

"But don't worry we left with a bang." They ended together.

"Oh my gosh, you have no idea how good it is to see you!" I grinned, hugging them again.

"Mum's mad though. She says we've just thrown away our education."

"She's going to owl Umbridge tomorrow, insisting she let us back in."

"No way will that happen."

I laughed and stood on my tip-toes to mess up their hair, "I can't blame you."

They grinned and messed my hair up. Now we're even.

"So how are you?" Fred asked.

I picked up my shopping, "Back to normal." I smiled.

George burst into laughter, Fred and I stared at him, confused

"Maia, you were never normal." George finally got out between breaths.

"Hey!" I scowled poking out my tongue.

Mrs Weasley entered the room, glaring at the twins, "Have you finished?"

They shook their heads and disapparated.

"I'm making them clean the attic, without magic." Mrs Weasley explained, pouring herself a glass of water.
