Recap:

"Your mother's father is Voldemort." His eyes searched mine, looking for some sort of reaction.

"I know." I replied truthfully.

"How?" Remus breathed, wearing a shocked expression.

"When I was nine I had overheard Dumbledore and you discussing it. At first I didn't realise it was Voldemort you were talking about, but over time and especially when Voldemort reincarnated, I pieced together the puzzle." I explained.

"I'm so sorry I didn't tell you earlier."

I shrugged, "I don't really care. I definitely don't think of him as a Grandfather."

"There's something else. Voldemort wants you to join his Death Eater ranks."

"What?" I shouted, jumping up and beginning to pace. my sudden mood change had little effect on Remus.

"You'll have to be concealed by the Order for a while, preferrably at Grimmauld Place." Remus added.

"Why me? Yeah, I get that I'm his Granddaughter, but why would he want me to join him?"

"You're a lot more powerful than you think. He wants that. There will be a war soon and he wants as many allies as he can get."

I groaned, "Just great!"

"An Order member will stay with you, at all times, in Grimmauld Place, each week they will take it in turns."

"What if I go to Hogwarts for my Seventh Year?" I wondered aloud.

"Well that was going to be my next suggestion. As long as Dumbledore is there; you're safe."

"That-" I was about to reply but a burst of light cut me off.

"Harry's at the Ministry, Order meet there." A strong, male voice filled the room.

Remus leapt to his feet.

"What's going on?" I asked following him as he ran out onto the lawn.

"Maia you must stay here. Order duties call. It might be dangerous."

"But what about Harry? What's wrong with him? Why is he at the Ministry?"

Remus shrugged, "I don't know, but I have to go, stay here."

"No I want to come, let me come. They might more people." I begged.

"Absolutely not. I won't allow it. I don't want you getting hurt."

"Come on Moony, you said so yourself not even ten minutes ago, I'm more powerful than I think. Besides we have to go now."

He sighed, realising he had lost his case, "Fine, but if it gets out of control you have to leave."

"Deal."

He held out his arm and I took it.

"Stupefy!"

"Expelliarmus!"

"Reducto!"

Spells were being fired left, right and centre.

"What now?" I yelled over the noise of the DA and Order members fighting Death Eaters.

"Pick-"

He was cut off by someone shouting "Avad-"

"Protego!" Remus quickly deflected. He began to duel with some masked Death Eater.

"Stupefy!" I yelled at Remus's opponent. The man was blasted into the wall.

"Good one Maia! Follow me!" We ran down the steps towards the middle of the room where Harry was fighting Lucius Malfoy.

I felt something grab my leg and then I felt myself falling. Remus did not notice and continued towards Harry.

"Hello darling." A voice cackled from above me.

I squinted to see who my attacker was.

Bellatrix Lestrange was standing over me, baring her rotten teeth in malicious smile.

"Dear little baby Black..." She cooed bending down to stroke my hair.

I scrambled away and felt for my wand. It had rolled just beside her foot, thankfully she hadn't noticed yet. I took a deep breath and collected all my courage. I stood up and looked her in the eyes, "Hello Bellatrix."

She laughed loudly, "How's Daddy? Iz he dead?" She asked in a baby voice.

I clenched my teeth and glared, my wand was still at her feet, how I wished I could just blast her away. I could feel my anger boiling inside, as if it were a volcano about to erupt.

"Answer me!" She shouted, "Crucio!"

An extreme amount of pain hit me, it made my skin burn at what felt like a thousand degrees. I fell to the ground and screamed.

"Protego!"

The dreadful pain thankfully faded and I regained my strength to stand up. I looked around for my saviour and saw Neville glaring at Bellatrix.

"Accio Maia's wand!" He shouted and my wand came flying towards him. He caught it and passed it to me.

"Aw itty bitty Longbottom, tell me, have your parents recognised you yet?" She teased in her sickening baby voice.

Neville shot a spell at her and they began to duel. I backed away and ran to find a higher, safer viewing point. At the top of the stairs I took in the view of the battle. Harry and Remus were dueling some Death Eaters, Luna and Ginny were up against Lucius Malfoy, Neville and Bellatrix were still where I left them and Ron and Hermione were fighting some masked Death Eaters. Every now and then there was a bright swish of light and an Order member would appear and help out one of the DA.

I was about to merge back into the battle when I felt a cold hand grasp my neck and another cover my mouth. I struggled against the person but they were to strong. I was being pulled out of the room and I couldn't even scream.
