When I woke up this morning, I was in a bit of pain but that was it. I got out of bed and got dressed. I headed down to the library to do more reading.

“Hey Clary. Can I speak with you?" Alec asked.

“Yeah I was about to go to the library."

“I wanted to say thank you for what you did for Isabelle."

“You're welcome"

“Can we be friends now?"

“Sure thing." with that I went to the library. As I put my cup of tea down, I went back to reading. A few minutes later, I got thirsty so, I went to grab my tea but it wasn't there. I looked down and saw it was in my drawing book. After looking and analysing it, I had an idea. I put my hand in the picture and pulled it out.

“Your mother was the only other person who could do that." Hodge said from behind me.

“But I've never been able to do this before."

“Apparently the block wasn't just repressing your memories, but your abilities as well." Hodge explained. I suddenly got an idea. I grabbed my notebook and ran to Jace's bedroom. I just had to knock once and Jace opened up. Before he could kiss me, I said “I know were my mom hid the cup." I told him running downstairs with the rest following. I ran to Dorothea's house to see her tarot cards. Before I even knocked, Dorothea opened the door.

“Clary."

“I need the tarot cards."

“Why?"

“I need them. You know, the ones that mom painted? I just need to look at them really quickly, and I'll give them back, I promise." I told her.

“Those can't come in here. This is a peaceful house. Put them over there." she told Jace. After Jace put all of his weapons in the corner, we were finally able to go in. Dorothea went into the back room to get the cards. She came back in and gave me the cards. suddenly I felt sick. I ran into the bathroom and threw up in the toilet. I returned and looked through the cards ignoring Jace's concerned look in the process.

“Young man, that piano is out of tune." she told Jace who just continued playing. “Please don't. Young man." I finally found the card.

“Stop! That song. Not one of my favorites." I just ignored her and concentrate on the card. I focused and pulled the cup out.

“Stop!" Dorothea screamed, turning into a demon. Then she looked at me “let's have a look." when I didn't give her the cup, she moved the table out of the way and picked me up by my throat. Jace grabbed a chair and hit her from behind. The demon punched and kicked Jace so hard that he flew into a wall and passed out. I screamed for Jace to wake up. Alec and Isabelle tried to get through but the demon kept the door shut. I screamed. Jace woke up and tried to kill the demon. Jace was able to get me out of the way before the back of his neck was attacked by the demon. I screamed with tears coming down my face. At the sound of my crying, Alec came in and killed the demon while Isabelle came to calm me down. After I calmed down, I saw Alec looking over Jace.

“Isabelle!" Alec yelled. Isabelle hurried over.

“The runes aren't working." Alec said desperately.
