I went back in the waiting room and paid. I didn't see the woman in the room.

Tammy stood up and walked with me out to the car. "What did the doctor say?"

I started crying once we got in the car. "I'm pregnant."

She didn't say anything as she drove home.

My stomach growled and we went to the kitchen.

"Do you want some of this?" she held up the take out containers.

I nodded and sat at the counter. She handed me a box and I started eating. Chow mien, my favorite.

Tammy sat next to me and we were quiet eating for what seemed like a long time.

My dad walked in the kitchen and my mom followed.

"Girls, we are going out and we'll be back in a few days. Alexa, Drew should be here tomorrow evening." my dad said.

I looked up at him. "Is he staying?"

"Yes, for a few months, then he has to leave again." he said and grabbed my mother's hand.

"Be good, ladies." my mom smiled and they left.

I looked at Tammy and smiled. "He's coming home."

She smiled back. "Are you going to tell him?"

My smiled faded and I stared at the counter top. My lip trembled and I started to cry again. "I can't."

She hugged me. "Why not?"

"He'll tell his parents and then they will tell mine." I cried even harder. "I don't want to lose my baby."

She rubbed my back. "You won't, I'll help you out and keep your secret."

I nodded.

"But you need to tell him soon."

"I will." I wiped my face. I laughed. "You must think I'm crazy."

She smiled. "Why?"

"For crying every ten seconds."

She shook her head. "It's a lot for you, so I would think you were crazy if you didn't cry." she laughed. "We'll look pregnancy stuff up on my computer and I'll go with you to get prenatal vitamins and all that."

I smiled and we went up to my room.

I sighed happily and went in the closet to pack. Tammy stood in the door. "Do you want some help?"

I shook my head and smiled. "I got it." I started pulling clothes from the drawers and putting them in the duffel bag. "I can't wait for him to get here." I smiled.

She laughed. "I can tell." she pulled her keys from her pocket. "I'm going to go home and get a few things."

"Okay." I nodded. "You're staying with me tonight, right?"

She nodded. "I'll be right back." she left and I continued to put clothes in the bag.

I picked it up and put it on the bed while I put toiletries in it.

Tammy came back in as I was zipping the bag up. She put her laptop on the bed and dropped her tote on the floor.

I picked up my bag and pushed it to the wall.

We sat on the bed and looked up everything about pregnancy, which was a lot.

We finally went to sleep around 4:00AM.

The next morning, I woke before Tammy and felt horrible.

I went to the bathroom in the hall so if I puked I wouldn't wake up Tammy.

I leaned over the sink for a few minutes but I didn't get sick. I was still nauseous but I didn't puke.

I walked out of the bathroom and I stopped in front of my grandma's old room.

She died a few years ago and no one has been in her room in a few months.

I opened the door and the room was musty.

She was a retired nurse but she still had a few tools, like her scrubs, old notes, and a stethoscope.

I looked around the boxes for it. I finally found it in one of the smaller boxes.

I cleaned it up a little bit and put it in my ears.

I laid on her bed and felt around my stomach. I was about to give up looking for the heartbeat but then I heard it.

The little beat, that was faster and fainter than a regular one but still there. I smiled and little tears ran down my cheeks. I could hear Tammy looking for me in the hall so I called her in the room.

She looked at me questioningly.

"Listen." I took the buds out of my ear and handed them to her. She put them in her ear and smiled.

"That's amazing."

I nodded. "It's my baby." I whispered. "My baby." I said to myself.

I sat up and she handed me the stethoscope. I put it back in the box and we left the room.

"There is so much we need to do." I smiled.

She nodded and smiled. "But it's worth it."

******Later that day.*******

Tammy picked up her bag and computer. "I'll see you later," she hugged me. "Good luck."

I nodded and smiled. "Thanks for everything Tammy."

"You're welcome."

I walked her to the door and she left.

I went in the kitchen and made a peanut butter sandwich. I filled a cup of juice and the doorbell rang.

"One second!" I yelled. I took a bite of my sandwich and went in the foyer.

I opened the door and Drew smiled at me. I ginned and jumped in his arms.

He laughed and kissed me.

I broke the kiss and beamed.

"Are you eating peanut butter?" he asked.

I held up my sandwich and laughed.

"I missed you so much." he kissed me again.

"I missed you too." I looked upstairs and then back at him. I wagged my eyebrows and he kicked his bag inside.

I shut the door and tossed my sandwich in the trash.

"Why don't we go upstairs?" I asked and kissed his neck.

He went up the stairs and into my room.
