Um, yeah.

"So you're Kaitlyn right?" Jake said to me as we walked down the hallway of the ginormous high school.

"Um, yeah. How'd you know?" I said dorkishly. I bet everyone felt like a dork around him though.

"You're a.... big hit here! All the guys were talking about you this morning when you walked in and during principal's speech." He pointed out. I felt my cheeks get hot. I couldn't help but notice the people in the hallway beginning to stare as we walked down the hall. Middle class girls gave me mean stares, and a couple of Jake's friends gave him a high five and a wink or a whistle. He seemed so calm and cool about it. He looked at me with a concerned look. Oh, I hadn't answered him!

"Well, that's nice of them I guess." Wow. I thought my last reply was dorky, but he laughed so I calmed down.

"Well here we are, good ol' chemistry." He said as he held the classroom door open for me. I gave him a smile and walked into class.

The next three classes were a breeze and then lunch. Of course, I sat at the table with the three girls, and right next to it was the jocks table. I should've known they were right beside each other. I sat down in between Peyton and Ella, who were busy talking about an annoying teacher named Mrs. Haddon, while I was busy scoping out the cafeteria. So far, I found out what the jocks, geeks, and skaters do. Yet to go was the drama club, anorexics, and the people who just wasn't classified in any group.

As I was coming back from getting my lunch tray that consisted of a chicken salad, a banana, tater tots, and a sweet tea I heard a voice from the jock table talking to me.

"Hey, you gonna eat your tots babe?" A guy with blonde hair in the same style as Jake's asked me laid back in his chair.

"Um no here you can have them." I handed them to him disgustingly as he winked which was his way of saying thank you. I walked away making sure to turn around and say, "Oh and uh it's Kaitlyn, not "babe" k?" I heard the rest of the table crack up as I left and when I got back to my table his face was bright red with embarrassment.

"Looks like you showed up Ryan Haney on your first day Kait, if you don't calm it down you'll become a legend." Ella said as the rest of us laughed.

"Hey he was asking for it. Is he always like that?"

"Pretty much" they all replied in unison.

"Huh well somebody should tell him to shut his trap every once in a while and treat a girl with respect." I ranted

"Oh trust me," said Peyton "Jake tries everyday, he flicked him in the head after you started walking this way."

"He's a pretty nice guy, that Jake." I smiled.

"Yeah he is." Peyton replied with a tiny flicker of jealousy in her eyes...
