Caitlyn's POV

I was sitting in my room alone, like always, thinking, and writing lyrics for a new song. I was suddenly interrupted by the sound of my mom, dad, and sister coming through the front door.

"Caitlyn, honey, we're home!" shouted my mom.

"Okay i'm upstairs!" I shouted in reply. I heard my mom trot up the stairs.

She opened my door with a dorky smile on her face.

 "We got the mail today and this came for you." she handed me an envelope with a logo that said TEAM CREED. My eyes lit up as I realized what it was.

"So what is it?" my mom asked.

"Oh nothing and thank you." I replied and smiled.

"Okay..." she said slowly with a smile on her face as she walked out.

 As soon as the door shut, I ripped open the envelope and read what it said.

"You have been chosen out of millions of entries! You have won 2 tickets to L.A. to see Jonah Creed perform! Your prize package includes: two round trip plane tickets to L.A., two tickets to Jonah Creed's concert, and two backstage passes! Congratulations! Much love, Team Creed!"

 I stood there in disbelief. I totally forgot about the contest I entered last month. The chances of this happening were no existant with my luck. You see, i'm a very normal person. Now, that's not entirely a bad thing, but life is pretty one-sided when it comes to how interesting it is. I guess I shouldn't be complaining, but all I ever want is some action and adventure in my life. I smiled to myself about the fact that my boring life just got so much more not-boring.

"I have to call Savannah."

Immediately, I picked up my cellphone and called Savannah, my best friend in the whole world. We have known each other all our lives.

 " Savannah, guess what?" 

"What's up girlie?!" she replied.

"I won the Team Creed contest!"

"Oh my God, no way!" she screamed.

"We are going to a Jonah Creed concert!!" 

 "Where is it?"

"In Los Angeles! our plane tickets are paid for!" I answered.

"Wow, just wow, this is amazing."

"I know what are the odds of this happening?"

"When is it?" she asked.

"We leave in a week!" I answered.

"I have to ask my parents. I really hope they let me go!"

 "I'm sure they will, i'm just worried about my parents."

"Man, if they don't let us go I will die!"

"Yeah, okay! Well, I have to go." I laughed.

"Okay bye girl!"

I hung up and walked downstairs to talk to my mom about the concert. I found my mom in the kitchen, like always, making something delicious.

"Hey mom, can I talk to you about something?" I asked nervously.

"Is something wrong?"

"No it's just I....", I paused and cleared my throat, "I won a contest and I got  tickets to a Jonah Creed concert!" 

"That's wonderful, honey!" my mom cheered.

"So can I go?" I pleaded with my eyes.

"Sure, sweetie, whatever you'd like."

 Wait, did my mom just agree to something she knows nothing about without even thinking about it?! Who is this lady?

"I know you'll say no but...", I stopped myself and thought about what she said, "Wait, did you say yes!?"

 "Yeah sure, just give me the details and i'll make sure it happens."

"It's in LA..." I mumbled.

"LA? Caitlyn! We don't have the money to fly you all the way across the country!" my mom's tone suddenly changed.

"The plane tickets are paid for in the prize package!" I chimed in.

"Oh, well, I don't know how I feel about sending my seventeen-year-old daughter all the way across the country..."

"My eighteenth birthday is also in two weeks! I'm practically an adult! Plus, I talked to auntie Carrie and she said she'd love to have Savannah and I over for a couple weeks!" I smiled.

"Well, okay. If your aunt is okay with it, then I will set it up."

"THANK YOU MOTHER OF MINE!" I celebrated. I hugged my mom and took off running up the stairs, almost killing myself in the process. 

I immediately rang Savannah. She screamed when the line connected.

"My parents said I could go!!!!" she screamed so loud my eardrums rung.

"Dude, mine too!" I screamed back. 

"Seriously?!"

"Yeah, man! In a week, we see JONAH MOTHERTRUCKING CREED!"

This is the revised version of this story I started two years ago. Sorry if you don't like a lot of dialogue! I'm working on developing my story line better. I've decided to revise this whole story and clean it up a bit! I'm super excited to get back to writing and I really hope you guys enjoy my new works! Bear with me as I slowly clean up each chapter.
