Chapter 3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jonah's POV
Jake and I grabbed our jackets and walked out the front door of the hotel. We looked around to make sure we weren't being followed by crazy fans or paparazzi. Jake tapped my arm and pointed out a black van in the distance.
"Let's start walking and see if it's them." I said.
We started to walk down the street to the movie theater when I noticed the van moving towards us.
"Let's go this way." Jake pulled me down a different street.
"Shit..." he hissed under his breath.
I turned to see three black vans full of paparazzi surround us. Jake's face got serious as he grabbed my arm and ran right through some people.
"Run!" he yelled as I was still processing what was going on.
"Justin's not gonna be happy!" I shouted.
"I know, run faster!" he said. We ran with the black vans closing in on us.
We finally got to the movie theater.
"That was close." I said out of breath.
"Yeah I know." Jake said out of breath also.
"Now let's see a movie."
We bought our tickets, popcorn, and candy, then took our seats. As soon as the movie started and the lights dimmed, I heard whispers behind us. I turned around and saw two girls waving with huge smiles on their faces.
"Hi Jonah!" said one of the girls.
The people next to us were shhhing us and I whispered sorry to them.
"Can we have your autograph?" they both asked.
"Yeah sure." I whispered to the girls.
I signed their shoes. They smiled.
"Thank you, Jonah!" they both said.
"Welcome." I whispered back.
I turned again back to the movie. Jake leaned over to me.
"That could have been worst." he whispered. I chuckled.
Just then I heard screams out side the theater. Tons of screaming fan girls ran in looking for me. And just like that I felt their gaze hit me.
"Spoke to soon." Jake said.
My eyes got big as I grabbed Jake's arm and got up and ran out the emergency exit. The screaming fans followed close. The look on Jake's face told me that he too was just about to piss his pants.
We ran as fast as we could, but the girls still kept coming.
"What are we gonna do?!" Jake shouted as we ran.
"I don't know, we just have to wing it!" I shouted back.
"What!? we can't wing it!"
I shrugged.
The idea popped into my head and I felt so much relief wash over me. One of my old friends lives here in Oceanside and his house was just up the road.
