Chapter 6

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Caitlyn's POV

I had a hard time last night. I woke up crying and with a killer headache. I was the first one awake, so I decided to take a walk on the beach. I threw on a tanktop, shorts, and grabbed my guitar. As soon as my bare feet hit the warm sand, I felt a lot better. I sat down in the sand and took in the beauty of the beach.

I played through the song I wrote Jonah. I was still hurting from the news about my parents divorce. It hit me harder when I remembered that my little sister, Jazmyn, was at my grandma's house for a couple of days. That's when I started crying.

Jazmyn was almost eight years old, but I was worried she wouldn't understand why all this was happening. This divorce could really screw up her life. I didn't want that happening. I took out my cellphone and immediately called my grandma's phone.

I heard a little girl answer. It was Jazzy.

"Hello?" Jazzy said in her little voice.

"Hi Jazzy, it's Caity." I said smiling into the phone.

"Caity!" she shouted with joy.

"How are you, Jazzy?"

"I'm gooooood."

"So you're at grandy grans?" I asked softly.

Grandy grans was what Jazzy called our grandma. It's really the cutest thing ever.

"Yesssss."

I had to laugh at her cuteness.

"Mommy called and she said I get to stay here longer!" she said excitedly.

"Oh really?" I said faking enthusiasm.

"Yup." she said popping her P.

"Can I talk to Grandy Grans?" I asked not wanting to leave her precious voice.

"Yes."

"Oh and Jazzy, I love you and i'll be home soon." I said smiling with tears in my eyes.

"Alright and Love you toooo."

My eyes started watering even more.

"Hello?" my grandma answered.

"Hey grandma, it's Caitlyn."

"Oh, hi honey."

"I was just calling to check on Jazzy because of the news I got yesterday." I said trying to fight tears.

"Oh Caitlyn, i'm so sorry." she said softly.

"It's okay grandma, it's not your fault." I said with a shaky voice.

"Caity if you need me just call me, okay?" she said still softly.

"Okay." I said biting my lip.

"Alright, well i'll take care of Jazzy until this mess is sorted out."

"Okay, well I got to go, love you, bye."

I stared at the water moving in and out. Savannah touched my arm.

"Hey, good morning." Savannah said smiling.

"Morning." I faintly smiled back.

"You okay, kid?" she asked with an worried expression.
