Chapter 12
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jonah's POV
I got out of my tux and put on my stage outfit, which is a little more casual and more my style. I pulled out my phone and called Savannah. It was really great to have friends that weren't famous. I usually always get played with people that aren't in the public eye and i'm very cautious now of who I let in my life. People use my for my fame, just like Sam has been doing.
I listened as the phone rang. It went to voice mail, so I left a message. I slipped my phone back into my pocket and ran through what I was going to say. I sat down on the couch in my dressing room and pulled out a picture of my parents on their wedding day.
They looked genuinely happy. I glanced down at my silver guitar pick necklace my parents gave me for my 7th birthday. I've wore it everyday since then. I looked between the picture and necklace a couple times. It made my feel so content every time I replayed those memories in my head.
"HEY BUDDY!" Ryan called out as he walked into the room.
I shut my eyes and shook my head with a grin.
"Keep it down, geez." I laughed.
Ryan was a typical party teen. He was a hit with the ladies and was always loud. There was never a serious moment with that guy.
"Sorry, I always forget, but c'mon man, its a great night!"
Again, typical Ryan. He always tells me he will never get over my fame. Ever since my discovery, Ryan has wanted to help me with everything. He moved to LA to become a tour director. He's well-known now for being my energetic best friend.
"Yeah, it is."
Ryan gave me a weird look.
"That's it? You don't even seem excited!"
"No, I am. It just taking it's time to set in."
I just couldn't believe that tonight was happening. It was like a dream to me and I knew it would set in when the show started.
"Typical Creed." Ryan sneered.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I chuckled.
"You can't handle it."
"Bring it on, Banks!" I leaped out of my chair and chased Ryan down the hall way.
He was surprising fast today even with all the people he had to dodge.
"Keep up, Jonah!!!" He laughed and continued to led my through the backstage part of the arena.
Ryan looked back and shot me a snicker and at the same moment I realized he was about to run into a water bucket that was going to be used for the show.
"Ryan, look out! " I shouted a little to late.
*Crash*
I stopped abruptly to look down at my very soaked friend. I let out a painful sigh, but at the same time I held down the urge to bust out laughing.
"Shit!" Ryan shouted.
He was definitely pissed off. I couldn't help, but grin as I held out my hand to help him up. He glared at me for a second until I realized what he was going to do. Ryan grabbed my hand and pulled me down straight into the water puddle on the floor. I sat up and looked at my outfit. I was drenched, head to toe.
