On the seventh day of Christmas, my true gave to me, seven swans a-swimming, six geese a-laying, five golden rings, four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree...
POV: Jimin
"N-no, it has to be absolutely perfect!" I stressed, shaking my head as Hoseok threw the tinsel onto the tree carelessly. "No!""Ugh, what is it this time?" he sighed, slowly getting off the little stool that was helping him reach the top of the Christmas tree.
"The tinsel was lopsided," I frowned, pointing to his lazy work. "What is this, Hoseok, what do you call this? You know, this is for a party with other people, so this is unacceptable!"
"Are you joking me? Come on, Chimmie, lighten up a bit! It's finally Christmas, stop acting like you're the grinch!" he chuckled light-heartedly. "I'll go fix it now then, eh? So it won't bother you anymore."
He gave me a quick peck on the cheek before climbing onto the wooden stool once again. This time, he was very careful with the tinsel, trying to not knock down any of the other ornaments that were sitting on the tree.
I examined his every move closely, seeing whether he was actually listening to me or not.
"Wrong!" I would shout out to him every now and then, but he seemed to be getting the majority of it right. "If you need reference, I've got a little blueprint drawn out here so you can look at it."
"A blueprint?!" he turned around with a confused look on his face. "Gosh, Jimin, you're so extra sometimes, I love it." he laughed.
After an hour of setting up the tree, I grabbed the last box of Christmas baubles and started to nearly hang them up, making sure that each one was how I planned for it to be.
"This is perfection, Hoseok." my gaze was fixed onto the bright green tree. It wasn't a fake one, it was real and it was alive.
"Aren't I supposed to be perfection? What happened to me?" he pouted, teasing me.
"Stop flattering yourself and your mouth. Now, should I turn on the fairy lights now or nah?" I bent down and my finger flicked the switch. "Look at that... beautiful. It looks absolutely amazing, don't you think so too, Hoseok?"
"Of course... woah," his mouth was gaping open wide. "I can't believe that I was the person who decorated it to make it look so fabulo-"
"Excuse me, Hoseok, but I'm the one who designed this to begin with!" I scowled, waving my blueprint about. "Acknowledge my work, will you?" I furrowed my eyebrows in rage. "But it does look beautiful, it really does."
"Right? " he nodded.
He slowly pulled me towards his chest, my head resting against his thumping heart like a metronome.
My body sunk down to the ground, pulling him down to the floor with me. We sat under our Christmas tree and giggled.
He gently pulled my fringe back and gave me a light butterfly kiss on the forehead, whispering sweet nothings into my ear.
"Baby..." he sighed. "I know the tree is beautiful," he said, taking a sneaky glance towards the bright tree. "I know that it is... but it's nowhere near as beautiful as you are, Jimin. Do you know that? I hope that you know that, because you should be reminded of that every single day. I love you."
"You really think that? Do you mean it, Hoseok?" I looked up towards him, my puppy eyes watering with joy. "Really?"
"Of course, baby..." he nodded. "Don't you know? You're absolute perfection to me."
