Please keep your distance.
I fear that my reckless passion
Will destroy you.
My body convulses at the notion
Of scaring you away.
I fear that my overwhelming love
Will knock you over,
And that after it does,
You will never look at me the same.
I long for a mind that feels so intensely
The way that I do,
Absorbing every flicker of emotion
Whether I want to or not.
But most of all,
I fear that my intensity
Will terrify you,
And that you will no longer dabble
In my world
On the edge
Of r e a l i t y .
So please,
Keep your distance,
For your own sake.
