Haley was being purely fuelled on desperation.
Desperation to find her dad. Desperation to not collapse in exhaustion.

Her brunette locks were tussled into knots as her fingers looped around several strands. The bags under her eyes deepening as she waited impatiently for the car to slow.

Stiles had been bickering with Scott for the whole journey, the only way to subside the noise was to hear the thud of each rain drop against the window.

As soon as the car spluttered to a stand still, Haley pounced out of her seat and toward the boot. She needed back up.

Without hesitation the three bundled out of the car and into the pouring rain, Haley's hair clinging to her forehead as the water worked like glue. She immediately retrieved a bat and a pair of nunchucks, throwing the bat to her brother.

Scott and stiles gawked at her as she unravelled the weapon she had retrieved from Alison a while back for emergencies.

"What?" Haley questioned as she looked up at them, her eyebrows knitting together in frustration. Scott raised his hand and pointed to the lethal weapon the petite brunette was holding. No words transacted.

"You have claws. He has a bat. I have nunchucks." Haley stated, tracing the smooth material with her fingertips. Stiles scoffed, his sister shouldn't hold that much power.

"Do you even know how to use them?" He asked, his gaze flickering back to the old and in comparison useless bat he had.

Haley grinned at her brother, her emotions trailing far behind her as her mind focused on her father.

"Not one bit." She smirked, glancing between the boys before pushing past them and toward the entrance of the hospital.

The trio rushed into the evacuated hospital, disheveled and frightened patients were being hastily transported from beds to buses.

The wave of people never stopped flowing as each new tide of patients crashed onto the next.
And in the midst of the sea, was Melissa McCall.

Her son immediately headed straight for her, weaving in and out of people with his own little current, the stilinskis.

"Scott? What are you doing here? The hospitals evacuating!" Melissa rambled, gripping her son for stability. Her gaze snapped to the twins behind him, instantly concerned by the weapons they held.

"We're here for Cora." Scott informed, his thumb rubbing against his mothers wrist in comfort. Melissa couldn't stop staring at the objects each twin held.

"All of you? Why had stiles got my bat? Why has Haley got a nunchuck?" Her tone rose in hysteria as she went to take the objects away, only for Haley to hug hers for protection.

"For protection." Haley murmured, her eyes doe to the only mother figure she had. The way she cradled it was as if the weapon was a baby, something that needed to be nurtured and cared for. When in reality, it caused harm.

The doors smashed against the walls, colliding with an undead blue eyed wolf that came sliding down the hallway. The senile werewolf smirked an unsettling smirk as he greeted the group looking down at him.

"We have a problem, a big problem." His voice cracked, the pain from the attack clear in his tone. Each pair of eyes drifted to the doorway, a lump the size of a boulder formed in Haley's throat.

The undeniable feeling she felt when the attacker roared across the corridor- shuddering through the floor to right under her feet.

Derek was quick to react, diving forward and toward the alpha with a scar aligning their face. Stiles instantly wrapped his hand around Haley's wrist, knowing her impulsive reactions.
