Glass shards | chapter thirty one

The alarm blared from the ceiling as metal crashed outside.

Someone was very angry.

Kali stormed into the room, her eyes darting around to only see Lydia and Haley perched against one of the pillars.

"Where is he?" She bellowed out as the two girls smirked at one another- Hiding  how freaking scared they really were.

One snap of her gangly fingers and nails protruded from the ends.
Haley gagged.

"I think he said he was heading out to do some shopping, run a few errands, The usual... werewolf afternoon." Lydia cleared her throat, pushing herself off of the wall and arching her carefully plucked eyebrow toward the mess of an alpha.

"Who do you think your talking to?" Kali growled as she pressed her claws to her hand, allowing blood to coat the tips.

"Someone in desperate need of a pedicure. I heard it's not healthy, I know the best place if you wanted." Haley chimed in, moving next to Lydia and smiling innocently toward the alpha.

Ethan stepped to the other side of Lydia, making Kali snort. Aiden was positioned behind the elder alpha, glancing back and forth between Kali and Haley.
The last time they faced off, Haley nearly died.

The woman alpha snarled a sickening snarl as she began to advance on the teenage girl. Her claws extended and dripping with her own blood.

Aiden began to growl, glaring at Kali as she stepped closer to the twin he preferred to be locked away; safe from all of the harm.
Kali tutted as she looked back at the alpha, a smile tugging at her lips.

"Did someone take their little assignment too seriously?" Kali questioned with a tight smirk, watching the discomfort cling to his expression. Aiden narrowed his gaze.

"She is not the problem." He growled, extending his claws as if in warning to the elder.

"Maybe the problem is where your loyalties lie." Kali observed with a snarl. Haley looked back at the two next to her, her eyes as wide as saucers.

"Oh god. This is about to get really violent isn't it?" Haley groaned. Ethan nodded as he stared across the room toward his brother.

"Probably."

and right on time, havoc broke loose.

Glass came clattering down like acidic rain from the ceiling window, slicing anything it touched.

Ethan pulled the two fragile girls  under him, covering them from the danger.

It reminded Haley of when stiles had protected her when the crows came. This mess was going to end the same way it started.

With Miss witch bitch.

The darach rose from the ground as she stabled herself from her fall. A sickening smile contorted on her lips. She looked across the cowering people, her eyes finally fixating on Kali.

"So, who wants to go first?"
And the real fighting began.

Before either girl had time to comprehend what was going on, kali was thrown to the other side of the room by a somersaulting dark Druid.

The wind howled as it came crashing through the window Jennifer had entered from. Like a sickening cry for help that only got ignored by the power hungry supernatural.

Ethan slowly rose as jennifer snarled at the two girls. But Aiden got there before him, out of pure instinct the alpha went to grab the darachs throat and tear it out.
But with one simple movement he was sent flying through the air.
