Haley was stood in the middle of the loft, her face stoic as she refused to let her emotions stop saving their father.

Stiles' hand gripped Haley's hand as they explained to derek what had happened. She would not let anything get in her way to find her dad. He had saved them so many times when either of the twins had a stupid plan.
It was their turn to save him.

The doors dragged against the floor as someone pulled them open. Everyone's gaze snapping to the auburn haired girl sprinting into the room.

"Derek, Derek where are you?" She cried as she entered the loft, her makeup stained under her eyes as tears stroked her cheeks.

Derek stepped into the light, his expression contorting from anger to comfort.
"I'm right here." He whispered as she dove on to his chest. The gesture only lasted a few seconds as Jennifer noticed the stiffness, and it didn't take long for her to realise why.

Haley ripped her grip from stiles and launched herself down the room and into the light. As the strobes hit her, the anger became more evident, the whites her eyes burnt red and her breathing faltered.

"Where's my dad?" She screamed as she ran toward their English teacher. Ready to attack. Almost instantly Scott had woven his arm around Haley's torso. Pulling her backward as tears continued to burn her eyes.

"How should I know? Please, Derek don't tell me you believe this?" Jennifer stated shocked, her expression almost cynical. Haley's anger grew, her nails clawing at the werewolf for release.

"Don't fuck with me!" Haley roared, it was the first time Scott had ever seen her so determined.
No one messed with her family.

"Ask her why she tried to kill Lydia." Scott commented, effortlessly restraining the brunette as her brother stood back in silence.

Derek looked down at his girlfriend after watching Haley's distress. If he hadn't already believed the trio, her desperation confirmed his suspicions.

The teacher scoffed, she knew she was fighting a failing argument.
"Lydia Martin? I know nothing about that." She bit back, so unemotionally detached that Haley didn't bother her.

Derek stared down at the girl who begged for his protection.
"What do you know?" He asked, arms folding across his chest to separate the two.

"I know that these kids, for whatever misguided reason, are filling your head with an absurd story. And one they can't prove, by the way." Her words rambled as they fell off of her tongue, each word evidently conveying the desperation she had.

But her emotions had quickly contorted into anger, for her boyfriend believed three children and not her.
She was meant to be innocent.

"What if we can?" Scott stated, readjusting the grip he had on Haley as she attempted to slip out of it.

Jennifer froze.

Her eyes caught sight of the other stilinski twin as he stepped into the light, allowing the group to see the small bottle he held.
Jennifer was no longer angry.
She was fearful.

"Wha... what is that?" She stammered, knowing full well by the encryption on the side what it was. Stiles glanced at his sister, he was in too much pain to speak.

"My boss told me it was a poison... and a cure. Which means you can use it... and it can be used against you." Scott smirked as the bottle was caught within his free hand. The herb rattling within its confinement.

To Jennifer, it sounded like death.

Haley stared coldly at the darach, her eyes piercing into hers with as much malice as a petite girl could muster. Once the witch caught sight of the stilinski, Haley allowed her lips to curl upward into a smirk. The letters already dancing on her tongue.

"Mistletoe."

Jennifer didn't need the stilinski to confirm it, but as soon as the name became known to everyone the pain it would cause resided within her.

She quickly snapped her gaze from the twin to her boyfriend, well ex boyfriend because she assumed that was over. "Derek, wait, wait! You need me!" She cried as Scott was about to throw the poison toward him.

In panic, Jennifer allowed Derek to see her true form. Her hands clasped on both of his cheeks, her gaze glueing to his. Only a few seconds passed, but that's all he needed.

In front of the alpha, was something so vulgar it made him shake. The once auburn hair was singed and burnt.
Half of the most beautiful face was contorted by marks and scolds.

The beauty was a mask for the destruction she had had on herself, and wanted to give to someone else.

He quickly pulled away, stumbling backward from the teacher, who had placed the mask back on. His expression merged into disgust and confusion.

"What are you?" He spluttered out, his sight never leaving her. Jennifer jumped forward to close the space, her voice slipping frantic words from her lips.

"The only person who can save your sister. Call peter, call him!" She yelled, she needed leverage, she needed hope.

*****

Derek was conversing with peter. Jennifer was stood still, glowering at the stilinski girl.
Haley was glaring back, released from Scott's grip but being refused access to fight back.
Scott's hand clutched Haley's wrist, his gaze never leaving the scared brunette. And stiles, he stayed silent, processing the thought that if they couldn't save their dad- Haley would be the only one left.

Loved by birth, orphans by death.

"Her life, it's in my hands." Jennifer lulled as she saw the conflict within his eyes. Haley's eyes widened,
was Derek caving in?
By an instant she was proved wrong.

Derek launched toward the darach, his hand weaving around her neck and yanking her body off of the floor. Jennifer's feet kicked and she spluttered out each rasping breath.
But if she died, so did Haley's dad.

"Stop!" The stilinskis yelled at the same time, both coming to the same realisation. Derek snapped his gaze to the two, watching as panic rose into their pain. His grip was lost and the English teacher collapsed onto the floor in a heap.
Holding a malicious smile.

"That right, you need me. All of you." Jennifer was being fuelled by her new found power, she didn't need the strength, the innocence, the abilities.

No, all she needed was the leverage.

I waited too long.
But yet again, I have reasons.

Anyway, next chapter is the hospital so hopefully I can squeeze in a little haiden for you all. The book should be coming to an end soon, I may do a sequel or may not I don't know...
