It was before school and everyone had joined in a class room to talk to Derek. He refused to see anything of it. The bruises lacking resemblance to the night before as they had faded slightly.

"But she was searching for Scott. That has to mean something." Alison asked desperately wanting to be apart of the group again. Scott nodded in agreement but the others just kept examining the wrists.

"Pareidolla. Seeing patterns that aren't there. It's a subset of apophiea." Lydia commented, rubbing her arm and letting it fall to her side. Derek rolled his eyes at lydias comment, making haleys hand ball into little fists. Derek really pissed her off.

"They are just trying to help Derek." Haley pointed out, smiling slightly at Lydia and Alison in apology.

Derek dismissed it and continued on his speech. "These two helping? This one who resurrected my dead psychotic uncle. Thank you."Derek pointed to the strawberry blonde, scoffing at the memory. "And this one who shot about 30 arrows in to me and my pack." Derek nearly shouted, his gaze shooting to Alison, making all three girls glare at him.

"I'm pretty sure you tried to kill Lydia too, so don't you think you're even big bad wolf?" Haley spat at the werewolf, mocking him at the end with a small snicker. She liked Derek most of the time, but when he went for her friends, that friendship crumpled. Stiles hand grabbed Haleys wrist to pull her back slightly.

"Okay, everyone just calm down. No one died alright? There may have been a little maiming, okay, a little mangling. But no death. Thats got to count for something." Stiles tried to quieten the atmosphere, addressing everyone with delicacy as he knew at least three were about to snap.

"My mother died." Alison stated flatly, looking at stiles with a lack of expression which made haleys heart sink.

"Your family's  little honour code killed your mother. Not me." Derek replied to Alison's comment, making Haleys glare intensify to the wolf.

"I'm here to help Scott, not you." Alison shot back, her hand nearing the small weapons she was able to carry in her bag.

"You want to help? Find something useful." Derek spat back before storming out of the door. Haley stood their with pure anger coarsing through her body, the only restraint her brothers hand clamped around her wrist.

"I know something useful I can do." Haley muttered, trying to wrench stiles grasp free and attack the werewolf. Derek smirked as she was pulled further back behind her brother.

Just As he left and headed for the door, Derek turned to address them one more time. "Maybe you should tell Alison what her mum was actually trying to do that night Scott." Derek chided, turning around and disappearing before any protests were formed.

Stiles pointed to the door, "I think its time to go. See you next period." He told the group as he pulled his sister out along with him, shortly followed by Lydia. One thought running through haleys mind. Great escape stiles.

They sat in economics, stiles, Scott, and Haley. She wasn't paying attention to the reward Scott was given for answering a question, instead conversing with Danny to catch up over the summer. their whispers were low as they drifted to the topic of boys.

"Have you seen the new twins, no offence but, much hotter than yours." Danny stated, his lips curling into a smirk as he watched the twin nod.

"Yeah I've seen them." She stated nonchalantly, her voice quiet enough for no one but Danny to hear.

"I think one of them is gay so I've called dibs, obviously." Danny stated as a matter of fact, laughing along with Haley.

Danny noticed something small clatter to the ground and nudged the girl next to him to see. Her laughing stuck in her throat as she saw the small package and the person in front of her who had dropped it. She started to choke and cough from the sudden stopping of laughing but her eyes were wide with shock. "Oh. my. god." She stuttered in between coughs as she watched coach pick it up. Her hazel gold eyes nearly popping out of their sockets.
