"Battle Cry" inspired by "Wolfs Rain"

Chapter 23

Last time on Battle Cry:
At the sound of movement I looked up. Blue and Hige were standing by the street entrance "Lets go get him back then," they said together. I smiled and stood up. "Lets go then, we're supposed to meet the rest at the outside of the town before the sun sets," I said before leading them out.

~~~Blue POV~~~

We had slowly walked through back alleys to avoid the crowd. Each step was agony, but I had to pull through for the pack. We had to find Kiba, this pack was not complete till we found our leader and the flower maiden. Both were needed to enter Paradise.

"We're here!" Terra yelled, making Tsume and Toboe look up.

"Finally, took you enough," Tsume stood and stretched his arms out.

Toboe smiled, "Glad Terra found you two, can't leave part of the pack behind."

I smiled whilst Hige shrugged.

"Okay how will we find Kiba then?" I asked.

Tsume sighed, "Our best bet is to just track Darcia down, Kiba should be there with his brother."

"Well let's get going, we won't be closer to finding them if we keep standing here," Terra fist bumped the air.

Tsume nodded and began leading us out of the town. Letting  our human images fall away, we ran through the snow leaving our paw prints behind.

---Kiba POV---

The twins were taking their sweet time bringing food back, making Akira impatient. He was fidgeting every once in a while. 

I wonder who will find Darcia first, hopefully we don't.

"What took so long," Akira almost yelled out.

The twins looked at each other before shrugging and setting the food down. I leaned over and picked up, what looked like mushed food. Akira did the same, not caring for the looks of the food.

We spent a few days in the same town, look for clues of where Darcia may have  gone. We had gathered zero clues, I doubted we would ever leave this town.

God, their the stupidest wolves I've met. Even more worse than Hige's appetite.

Akira growled, "Let's just move to the next town, since this town is of no use."

The twins nodded, before eating the leftover food. This was going to be a long day.

---Toboe POV---

Walking through the snow was not the easiest, well for me it wasn't. My paws sunk every step I took. I even sunk into Tsume's tracks, which were deep.

"Shouldn't we rest now?" I asked.

It couldn't be good that we had not taken many breaks for Blue, surely she needed more time to rest. Tsume stopped a few feet away from all of us. 

"Alright, we can continue our path tomorrow afternoon." He barked out.

Blue instantly collapsed, blowing snow around.

"Sorry about this," Blue blew out, Hige had settled beside her.

"No need to apologize, Blue. We all need to rest either way," Terra said, before settling onto the snow.

I padded over to Tsume, who was digging a hole into the snow.

"Tsume,  what are you doing?" I questioned.

"Making myself a hole to lay in, don't want any other animals or humans to see us so make sure to dig a hole." I nodded, before going back to the rest.

They had made themselves holes and were now trying to sleep. I began to do the same.

We would have to run tomorrow to get to the other town, but we would worry about that tomorrow.
