Chapter 9.

Naru stood with Eiji, Dei, and Kasumi stood at the south gate dressed in their anbu travel gear, which was their black tank-top with a full neck, a pair of black pants that had black wraps up the legs keeping them close to prevent snagging, it had four weapon pouches on the legs around the thighs, a small blade hidden in the wraps. A silver vest with a katana holder on the back and long sleeves that reached almost up to their shoulders with wraps around top.

"Alright, you will see your target once you set out." Ibiki said handing Dei the folder who gave a nod holding it tight. "You have a week then you must report back, mission accomplished or not." He said.

"Yes sir." They said at the same time. He looked at them and lingered on Naru who stood at attention. "Keep together and be safe." He said. "Look out for each other." He said pointedly to Dei for Naru.

"Yes sir!" They said.

"Head out!" He said, they bowed and shot into the woods racing through the trees.

"We'll land and check out our target." Dei said jumping from the trees, they followed and gathered in a circle, he opened the scroll and blinked a few times before snorting. "About time." He muttered and passed it around, Naru got it and her eyes widened as she stared at the photo of the target, which was Uchiha Itachi.

"Wow..." She muttered. 'Sasuke's gonna be pissed...' She thought.

"Our mission is to capture alive, no killing." Dei said. "Hokage-sama gave me special things to aid in his capture, we don't go alone, he is far too skilled." He said looking at everyone, they nodded. "We're heading 100 miles southeast to an underground compound." He said.

They moved through the woods at top speed heading to the compound location. They crouched behind some bushes outside the open doors. "We'll find a better way in." Dei said, they nodded and moved around before finding a deep tunnel and headed inside, Naru looked around in the darkness before focusing and created a ball of plasma that glowed bright.

"Is it just me but does this feel..... too simple." Eiji asked.

"No kidding." Naru whispered and walked in front and turned down a hallway slowly and gasped as a hissing sounded, she turned and jumped back just as tags exploded collapsing the hall entrance and throwing her back down the hall. "Fox!!!" Her teammates yelled struggling against the large rocks. Naru moaned rubbing her head and looked at her mask that laid on the ground.

"Dammit..."

"Are you okay!?" Kasumi asked.

"I'm fine!!" She yelled back and stood up grabbing her mask and gulped. "Gotta figure a way out-"

"Hn." She stiffened and slowly turned around. "So this is why I was sent here."

Naru slowly turned looking in the dark at two glowing red eyes. "Uchiha Itachi." She said grabbing her blade. "You're going to surrender and come to Konoha quietly." She said.

"Or what?" He asked. "See I was given the assignment long ago to capture you.... might as well do it now." He said unbuttoning his cloak a little and held his hand out, Naru growled. "You are the one coming with me." He said.

Naru shot forward throwing kunai and shuriken at him, she jumped in the air and flipped over him and tackled him from the back, he disappeared into crows, she gasped looking around flinching as they swarmed her, she closed her eyes then reopened them and found herself in pitch darkness. "Wha-"
