Chapter 12.

"You want permission to train him?" Ibiki asked standing in his office, Tsunade sat at his desk and Naru stood across.

"Yes." She said. "It's been weeks, he hasn't pulled a thing, if anything he seems happy to be home." She said. "And I asked, he said he would be willing.... so I mean.." She sighed. "If I'm doing it, there shouldn't be an issue in trust."

"Naru, he's an class S criminal. He can't be trusted."

"The same can go for anyone." Naru said. "I am seen as a threat by others, I think it's a matter of perspective." She said. "And I have control of him, if I feel he's up to something, then I take care of it." She said. "Just let me have a chance.. you both believed in me once, can you do it again?" She asked looking at them both.

They sighed each sharing a smirk and exchanging looks. "Fine, but it will be here, under heavy watch." Tsunade said. "The first offense and it's stopped." She said.

"Yes ma'am, thank you, both of you." She said with a smile, she gave a bow before walking out quickly and back up to the apartment.

Itachi looked up from his book and arched his brow at her smile. "They gave me permission. You can start training again." She said, he shut his book and stood.

"Thanks." He said.

"Let's start." She said, he nodded and followed her to the training rooms and picked up two bo staffs. "Kenjutsu?" He asked.

"Yeah, this was my favorite course." She said, he nodded with a smirk and took one and slid on the gloves and mask followed by Naru. Both stood across from each other before they began to start maneuvers of attack and defense.

Dei, Eiju and Sora stood in the door watching intently as they sparred watching over the two, but mostly watching over Naru, still distrusting of the prisoner with her. "They seem to be okay." Sora said. "He's cute too, they look great together." She smiled.

"Are you kidding?"

"No, look at their chemistry, they're obviously attracted to one another." She said.

"Hm..." Dei said and walked away.

Itachi and Naru sparred all day before getting dinner sitting in the open yard. "Wanna go to the roof? Get some fresh air?" Naru asked, Itachi nodded grabbing their drinks and followed her up the stairs and to the roof door. They sat on the edge looking at the starry sky. "This has been great." Naru said. "Thanks for training with me."

"Thanks for getting me back in." He said, Naru smiled. "It's been a while." He said.

"Can I ask, did you miss Konoha while you were... ya know, gone?" She asked.

"Yes." He said with a sigh.

"Could I possibly ask, why did you.... ya know..." She said.

"It's really complicated, but I did it for the future of Konoha." He said.

"It's not what Sasuke says-"

"You should know Sasuke hears and believes what he wants. Granted I did tell him that and hid the truth, he wasn't ready for it." He said. "He has much growing up to do."

"Yeah." She chuckled and sighed.

"When are you going back?" He asked.

"Not sure yet, I know I have a job to do, but it's so hard for me to do it." She said.
