About 15 minutes of waiting and crying in Jakes arms went by before Alex arrived. When he got here he knocked on my window and I got up to open it. He crawled in my window and the first thing he did was hugging me and stroking my hair while telling me that everything was ok.

“So while I’m here, does anyone mind explaining what’s wrong with Sky?” Alex directed the question towards Jake.

“Well… I told her about what I told you about earlier.” Jake responded.

“Dude you weren’t supposed to tell her until we had solid evidence! For all we know that preppy bitch could just be lying to those girls to get a rumor spread. Brig is the kind of girl to do something like that.” Alex seemed to be kind of upset with Jake, but I can see why.

“But Brig and I are supposed to be friends! I just don’t understand why she would do that.” I said budding in their conversation.

“Yea but some people just aren’t true. You can’t believe that everyone is going to be true to their word. Not everyone is as nice as you think they are. There are some back stabbing people in this world. I guess brig is just one of them.” Alex said sharing his big brother like wisdom. Alex was truly like a big brother to me. He protected me like a big brother, gave me advice, and he almost practically lives at my house. He’s always over here. I mean Jake comes over all the time but Alex sleeps here at night when he doesn’t want be at home.

“Cheer up little bit, on the bright side you get to see a good fight.” Jake said jokingly.

“Oh so I get to see you get your ass kicked by my soon to be ex-boyfriend?” I responded in a mocking tone.

“Who said I’m going to be the one fighting him. As much as I would love to pound his face in I think Alex here will fuck him up before I get to.” Jake said putting his arm around Alex’s shoulders.

Alex scoffed and pushed Jake back a few feet.  While the two of them goofed off I went to Tyler’s facebook account to check his messages. I know I know it’s a total invasion of privacy. I would never do this on a regular day, but this was a relationship crises. When it asked me for his password I instantly knew it. All his passwords are the same. It’s Tym@n. Yea it’s that simple.  I go to his messages and I wasn’t surprised to see conversations with brig. There was a group chat with her, his brother, this guy he hung out with on a daily bases. Reading the conversation I could tell that it was nothing important. Just ideas on where to meet up on Friday. “Maybe you should crash their date.” Jake was looking over my shoulder at the computer screen.

“No no no! Not happing. But crashing the date sounds like a good idea. But it has to be someone they’re not afraid to do what they want around. If I’m there they’re going to keep it friendly.” I said.

“I know someone who’s can crash it for us and is a close friend of Brigit’s.” Jake stated with a smirk.

“Oh god you can’t be talking about… Oh god no no no no no no no! Absolutely not! Seriously her!! Lord knows I hate asking her for favors” he was talking about the biggest witch ever.

“Yea you should call her,” Alex chimed in,”you guys haven’t talked for a year.”

“That’s only because she got me kicked out of our dad’s house. I didn’t want to live with my mom. She’s drunk half the time.”

“But you’re sisters, you’re supposed to help each other out, and she owes you big time. This is a chance for your sister to redeem her sisterly title.” Alex was being very convincing but I wanted nothing to do with my sister.

“Give her a chance sky, she’s your sis.” Jake chimed in

“Okay okay, fine!”I pouted, “I’ll call her later, and it’s too late right now. So are you guys staying the night or are you going home?”

“Well I’m supposed to be grounded but you know how that goes, so I got to get home before my mom wakes up.” Jake said walking to the window.

“Aww so you’re leaving me Jakey?”  I whined

“Yep, see you later princess.” He walked back over to me and kissed my forehead then left out of the window.

“What about you?” I was averting my gaze to Alex.

“Yea I think I’m going to chill out here tonight, is that cool?” Alex began to grab blankets out of my closet and made a pallet next to my bed.

“Yea, it’s cool if I play my music?”

“Yep, I don’t mind.”

I turned my music on and ‘when you can’t sleep at night by Of Mice & Men’ came on. I think that song is so soothing. It soothed me right to sleep.
