chapter 22

Jake's P.O.V
I left Sky at her house and drove to the house of the one person who could give me advice. My mom. My mom is very caring but she's extremely strict. I don't like being told what to do... Unless its sky. I pull up to the drive way of my house. Yea I know you would think I moved out or something since I'm never here, but I'm a runaway kind of kid. Every time the going gets tough I run to sky's house. As soon as I pull up my mom comes running out the house with her light brown locks flowing behind her.
Unlike my mom I have black hair, but mine is dyed my hair is actually a dirty blonde color. No one but my mom and dad know this. I get out the car and hug my mothers tiny frame.
"Jake, how have you been?" She asked.
"I've been better." I responded.
She looked at me with concern.
"What's wrong? Do yo want to talk about it?"
"Yea I that's why I came here." My mom leads me inside and plops on the couch . Sit on the couch across from her.
"Ok now tell mama all about it sweetie."
" well I took Sky to a two day music festival up in Austin Texas. Yesterday the last day I got on stage and asked her to be my girlfriend. She said yes and I kissed her on stage. Well once we were back stage she told me she didn't see me as anything other than a friend. So now everything is awkward and we haven't really been talking. I just don't know what to do." My mom gave me a thoughtful look .
"Hmmm it seems to me that she wants to be your friend but she may think that she hurt your feelings. I say you tell her you want to just be friends too because if you keep trying to date her your friendship is going down like the titanic." I got off the couch thanked my mom and went back to sky's place.
*****ABOUT 5 MINUTES LATER****
I pulled up and jumped out of the car I walk in the house and see an aggravated Sonya. She looks up at me then rolls her eyes and nods her head toward the hall . I slowly walked down the hall and stop in front of the door where the noise was coming from. I could here the soft moans that sounded oh so heavenly. I turn around and walk back in the living room. I sit next to Sonya and she looked as if she wanted to cry. Honestly I Was in the same boat. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know Alex and sky were having sex.
"I hate this so much!" Sonya had finally let her tears stream down her face .
"It isn't fair! Why does sky get him and you? I thought sky would go for you and after y'all came back you would be together and I would at least get a shot with one of you but no both you and Alex went and confessed to sky." She said through tears.
"Yea but i think Alex gets the girl." I responded defeat-idly. I walked out the house and walked to a girls house. She was the kind of girl who was a real stress reliever.
SKY'S P.O.V
****THE NEXT MORNING****
I woke up in the strong grasp of Alex. I slowly sat up being careful not to wake him. I slid off the bed and walked to the bathroom. I pulled my hair into a messy bun on top of my head. I quickly jumped in the the shower to wash off the sex smell. Once I got out I felt so relived but I was a bit sore. I wrapped the towel around my small frame and walked out into my room. Alex was awake now and was just laying there playing on his phone. I walked over to Alex giving him a tender kiss on the lips.
" so what now?" I asked parting from him.
"What do you mean?" He asked and I knew good and well he knew what I was talking about.
"What are we now? I want to DTR." I responded
"Well I want us to be a couple."he said grabbing me by the waist and pulling me down on the bed with him.
"Ok ok I guess I'm officially your girlfriend!" I laughed as Alex tickled me.
"Alex, Alex you're going to make my towel fall down! Stop!" I whined
"Fine I'm done. Now I'm going to take a shower and you go ahead and get dressed." He said kissing me on the cheek and disappearing into the bathroom.
