My beginning

Avan and I were joining together again . It had been 10 years coming for him to fully get Florida in his hands while I ran the East Coast of America but we work hard for control of the land . I wanted to impress Avan with not only the upkeep of our east coast but also of my surprise. We were going to take over America like Egypt . We are conquerers . We are kings.

We Egyptian vampires are different then the others because the daylight does not stop us. We have the blood of the Gods and it allowed us this delight. For that reason , we are well respected by the AVA although are on probationary terms due to our obsession to conquer the free land . It was our turn , and we would . Of the 50 Kings and queens , 5 of them are our vampires and 10 children of our vampires and 11 affiliates . The others were not enemies , just strangers but there time would come . We've been doing this since we came to America 115 years ago.

He sat across from me as We sat at our usual spot in the bar . For 115 years , we sat and made plans to take over the world . And slowly but surely , we are doing it . The young bartender was gorgeous and smiled at us once Avan had settled .

"Can I help you gentlemen" she smiled . We both watched as she held her neck straight and her chest down so we could admire her neck and bust line. She was trying to seduce us and I smiled at how cute it was . The young girl .

"2 red wines and 2 doubles of Absolut , neat" Avan said and she smiled and nodded . "And open a fresh bottle of the red wine " he said .

"So what's the occasion " I asked and he smiled.

"Florida is mine " he said simply . "Tell me your surprise , we have plenty of time for my stories . Tell me yours" he said.

"I've been working on Louisiana " I said .

"Tell me more " he said . His eyes the bartender as she set the drinks in front of us ."Thank you ..,, " he trailed waiting for her to leave her name .

"I'm Misty" she says smiling . He smiles back . "What brings y'all in ?"

"We are old friends" he said . She smiled and nodded .

"You don't say" she said . "Ain't nothing old on you boys ."

"You'd be surprised " he turns his head and she looks at him . He had dismissed her . She walked away . I rolled my eyes at him .

"Quit playing with that baby's head" I said . He rolled his eyes at me . "I've put our people to seconds of the sheriffs in the 11 districts of Louisiana. I also brought the old hooch and liquor rep business to get into the pockets of Louisiana .i will attempt to make a bond with the queen. "

"Really , a bond is 100 years " he said . "That's not what you want and the AVA is on our side . Whats up ?" He asked .

That was when I took my shot . Whenever Avan hit the number one question in my life dilemmas or I hit his , we took the shot .

"I want a lot " I say . He stares at me .

"Now Nile don't start talking in riddles " he said . I rolled my eyes at him calling m my Egyptian name .
When we moved to America I changed my name to Benedict N. Jidenna . Only Avan calls me Nile .

"There is a district , I can not break through" I said . "Eric Northman . "

"Ooh Eric Northman" Avan purred. "The Viking . I remember him . We passed him a few times in the Renaissance time .

"You remember his progeny?" I asked. He thought about it and looked at me.

"The little tan girl " he asked . I nodded .

"She has never left his side " I said . "It's very strange. We have the bond we have we our makers . And us and you leave my side "

"It is strange. he says . "So , what do you think "

"Eric Northman is a well respected vampire . I want them on my side and in her , to be my Queen "

"You are strange " Avan eyeballed me and we sipped out drinks in unison . "Louisiana ,are you ready to go and settle for a second I would love to come and watch"

"We leave tomorrow. "

"You have a place for her ?" He asked quietly "

"I do " . I finish my drink . "I will bring them both "

"You aren't thinking what I think you are thinking " he said . "She cannot be a queen in the new world ."

I shook my head . Closed my eyes for a second and tried to change the subject .

"If I take over Louisiana, I will pick your next destination to take over " I said .

"Deal" he shrugged . By the next night , we were in New Orleans where I got myself a house ready .
