My task

Olivia's P.o.V.

I waited in the lobby of the hotel we stayed in wearing the last outfit I received from Sophie Ann . Jidenna approached and smiling in his usual beautiful suit and I smiled looking him in his eyes .

"You look gorgeous" I said . He laughed and looked at me .

"I'm pretty sure that's my line " he said. I smiled, looking at my feet and he cupped my face.

"We will party and then we will see Sophie Ann . " he said .

"I'd prefer we do the opposite . So I can be professional and then unprofessional " I said . He looked at me and shook his head .

"Suit yourself" he said . We got into the car and drove to Sophie Ann's castle . We were searched by guards per usual and then lead down the main hall to Sophie Ann's sunroom . We get there and walk upon her seat . A vase , covered in Sophie Ann's necklaces sat there . Full of blood . I looked at Jidenna and he began to laugh hysterically . He walked around the room clenching his stomach .

"What is this " I looked at him . He was still laughing and he approached the chair and sat it on the floor he picked up the necklaces and sat them in his lap as he took his place in her seat .

"You couldn't think I was serious" he said . "You thought I was going to keep the ruler of the kingdom I wanted to rule , alive " he laughed out loud again . I felt my body shake in anger . Sophie Ann was dead . Sophie Ann was a friend . I thought of when we first met . In 1901 , Paris . She and I looked the same age and sniffed each other out on the same train . We rode together and were showgirls on the Moulin Rouge for a while . We had great times . We shared fun times together and he destroyed her . "Don't worry love" he said . "I will keep you and Eric Alive and leave Eric to run district as he pleases . I just want you by my side on the weekends " he said .

This man was offering everything we wanted as well as snuffing out someone that I loved.I didn't have a choice . If I said no he would kill me, Killing Eric too . I was just going to follow through with Eric's plan to make Jidenna fall for me . I wasn't going to make it easy , but I would be submissive to his rule . I kneeled at his feet .

"I accept your offer " I say . And I look up at him .He bites his wrist and puts it to my lips . He knew I was a nymph . He knew I would have a bond if I took in his blood . And I took it with no hesitation . A tear running down my face . He smiles at me and I stand .

"Lets go out" he says . He wraps his arms around my waist and presses his pelvis to mine . A tingle in my nether region begins showing my body liked it but I remained neutral as looks at me . He turns my head, his lips running hotly against my skin . He kissed my neck and then bites me viciously sucking and he releases me onto the floor . I clutch my neck and it begins to heal and look at my dress that was blood drenched and stained .

"Now that's because your scent turned me on before I was ready . So imagine what it's like if you piss me off " he says . He lifts me up and smiles. "I got you a new dress . " he smiles and snaps . I walk to the back room and I change clean myself and change in awe of the outfit . It was all white , like Jidenna's . It even had acccessories . I step out of the back room and he smiles instantly .

"That is how my queen shall look " he says as his eyes study every surface of my body I walk past him . In need of alcohol , overwhelmed of the circumstances. I wanted to call Eric but I all of a sudden couldn't find my purse . I knew he had it . I wasn't going to stress it . He already said he wasn't going to kill me . We must play nice and until we can make a new plan . We get into the car and I sit across from him . He looks at me .

"I'm sorry because I know Sophie Ann might have been a friend but I want you to know, it was just business " he said . I nodded .

"I understand and I really thank you for sparring me and Eric " I said . He nodded .

"I respect you two . Both of you" he said . We pull up in a sea of warehouses . I raised my eyebrow due to the fact of us being overdressed . He smiled at me and helped me out the car . We walk in to see that it drops down to a huge party as the doors open . The door lead to different levels with the the dance floor at the bottom and private feeding rooms on the side . He walked me to the DJ booth and the DJ began to shout us out .

"The new King and Queen of Louisiana have arrived. Sophie Ann is dead " he said . Everyone began to cheer and dance and rejoice and reach for us in admiration . My heart broke knowing they were celebrating . But I kept it together , holding my face and stance as we walked through the sea of people that cleared a way in our presence to a private room . I felt as if I had stepped into a 1920s movie . The men dressed as Jidenna in various colors and playing cards , drinking booze with half naked whores on the couches drugged out so much they were eating each other out to keep the guys entertained between hands .

"You did it " the first guy raised that I noticed the other day . "With a Queen great place to settle " he said .

"Olivia, you remember Avan , my right hand " Jidenna introduced me . I nodded at him and they smiled at each other . Avan snapped and a sack of money was presented to him .

"Little brother . You won the bet . " he said . I looked at them and they laughed .

"Your territory is Mississippi , good luck with Edgington" Jidenna laughed . "But you're pretty enough "

They laughed and he took my hand . It occurred to me what was going on . The taking over of Louisiana was a game to them . They were changing government officials for fun . As I got into the car , I realized how much fire we might really be playing with and I as wondering if we could with stand the burn . We pulled up to the next stop but before we got out the car he wrapped a scarf around my eyes .

"This part is the real surprise . " he said . And he began to lead me out the car
