Wings

Imagine Person B of your OTP is a guardian angel sent to protect Person A. Now imagine that every time B hugs/cuddles A, they wrap their wings around them

Maggie x Glenn 

When Maggie lead Glenn into her apartment, he had that feeling in his chest. The one that feels like a stone was dropped in his stomach. He thought she was ready to break up with him, why would a pretty, smart woman like Maggie ever want him? A pizza delivery kid? 

But when Maggie turned her back, and she faced him with that light blush at her cheeks that always made Glenn feel like smiling. She gently slid off that long jacket she always wore. And two pearly white wings stretched from her shoulder blades. 

"Holy... Shit" murmured Glenn as he held back the temptation to reach and touch one of the wings 

"I'm sorry I hid from you.. But not letting you know before, would keep you safe" said Maggie as her wings shined in the light 

"Are they like surgically attached or?.. Or were you like  born with a genetic mutation?.." asked Glenn

Maggie gently tugged on her shirt, Glenn saw from where the wing came from. It grew out of Maggie's shoulder blades, not a single stitch in sight, nothing proving it was man made. And her wings, the feathers didn't look like they belonged to a single bird on this planet. They were long and elegant, they all covered the base of the wings perfectly. 

"Glenn. Do you remember when you were around sixteen, and when you first started your pizza job, and it was your first night out delivering. And some drunk driver swerved on your lane. Going straight for you, and it was like someone pushed you out of the way?"

Glenn nodded, he remembered the night exactly, and in that moment where the car's headlights were in his eyes and he couldn't see. But he felt a hand lift him from the seat and throw him towards the sidewalk. He blamed it on reflexes and how he just leapt from the seat. But it made sense now. 

"I'm here to protect you. I wasn't ever supposed to fall in love with you, but that's how our cards were dealt" said Maggie 

Glenn walked up to Maggie, he gently wrapped his arms around her, and he felt her arms wrap him, but he also felt a pair of strong but soft wings wrap around him. He gently laughed, as one of the feathers tickled his neck. He gently whispered into Maggie's ear 

"I love you and your wings. And thank you, for saving me so many times."
