"But MEMMA Z!" Eeva whined to her pokemon father, Zapdos.
"Dont you "Memma Z" ME! I'm trying to help you so you can go like you wanted!" He squawked back to the girl.
"BUT YOU'RE PULLING ALL MY HAIR OUT!" She continued. "AND IT HURTS!" The Zapdos removed the talon from the girl's long, light brown hair.
"Just be lucky it's ME and not Moltres doing this. You wouldn't HAVE hair!" The angered Zapdos shot back quickly.
"Maybe if I didn't have hair then it WOULDN'T HURT SO BAD WHEN YOU PULLED IT!!" Eeva fired back.
"Eeva!" Articuno called from below the two. "Come here! We have to figure out where to send you!"
"COMING!!!" She shouted back. She looked at Zapdos again and made a face, then jumped over the "railing" of clouds to where Memma Articuno was.
"Yeah Memma T? What is it?" The curious girl asked.
"I hope you know, starting tonight you won't be the same as you are, alright?" The big cloudy bird chirped, perched on a branch just over Eeva's head, like she always was.
"Yeah... I'll miss you alot, in all honesty..." Eeva said. "Heck, even Memma Zapdos, even if he is a little mean sometimes."
"We're going to see if we can get the Great Mew to help us out with finding you a partner. Humans always have a friendly pokemon by their side, it seems."
"Mew...? That little cat thing...?"
"Yes, the little cat thing..."
"Well I guess it wouldn't be the first time... Where are you going to take me?"
"To a little town. Hopefully you'll make plenty of friends, both of pokemon AND people."
A shiver went down Eeva's spine and her face went a little pale. "P-People, huh? W-W-Well... Isn't there a different way to-.. to get started?"
"CERTAINLY NOT! EEVA DEAR, WE'VE TALKED ABOUT THIS!!" Moltres boomed from behind. Eeva, clearly startled by this, jumped up a mile into the air and fell to her knees, gasping for breath and laughing and almost crying all at the same time.
"Dont-... Sneak up-... On me-.... Like that-.... ....Please...." Eeva panted out.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Eeva. I didn't realize you were right THERE." Moltres told her. "But, you have to understand what I'm getting at!"
Eeva nodded, still trying to catch her breath.
"Now, about where you're going..." Articuno tweeted softly. "It's a small town. There isn't alot. I'm sure you'll have your space if you need it."
"Yes girly, named Pallet. We've even looked into-.." Moltres was cut off by a very strong burst of air from both Articuno AND Zapdos.
"Bird Brains! That was a SECRET!" Zapdos scolded. Articuno just sighed.
"Anyways though dear, it'll have to do. It's the closest one, after all." Articuno told Eeva, changing the subject a bit.
"OH! IT FEELS LIKE IT WAS ONLY YESTURDAY WHEN WE FOUND YOU! Can I tell her the story, please?!" Moltres begged, flapping their wings furiously.
"Wait, I wasn't born in the woods like you said?" Eeva asked.
"Congratulations Doltres. You just ruined everything..." Zapdos said, both disappointed and ashamed of keeping a secret to his taken in daughter.
