Ch. 3: The Debut and Team Rocket!

"Okay Buddy, ready?" Ashed asked, stoked as ever for his first really trainer battle.

"Ready!" Pikachu's cheeks sparked, and in a lower voice he said, "And those amazing berries will be mine!"

"Eevan, ready to show me what you got?" Eeva asked, just as eager as Ash.

"Yeah!" Eevan's tail and neck fluff stood on end. He looked ready, a fire in his eyes.

"Alright! Pikachu, thunderbolt!"

"Okay!" The pikachu sparked up and quickly shot the yellow rays of electricity to Eevan.

"Dodge it! And counter him!" Eeva ordered.

"Got it! ...Left, right, left, right, right, jump...!" Eevan had gotten out of the way, and sprung up in the air. Then many different Eevans appeared. Double team.

"Okay Pikachu! Thundershock! Try hitting them all at once!"

"Right! Here goes!" Pikachu let out another very strong lightning attack.

"Eevan get away and surround him after!"

The Eevee did as told, surrounding the Pikachu.

"Now use bite!"

"Pikachu I won't let you win!"

"Pikachu dodge it! Jump!" Pikachu took a small leap into the air, over the attacking Eevees, which all disappeared in a small puff of smoke.

"Won't let me win? That's just HANDING it over! I want those berries!"

"Now use thunderbolt again!" Ash ordered. Pikachu let out a little smile and the yellow shock hit Eevan spot on.

"Eevan?! Get up, come on I know you can!" Eeva shouted encouraging. Eevan was shakey, but he got up.

"I am NOT going down that easy!!" Eevan almost screamed.

"Your Eevee looks really fired up!" Ash said to Eeva from across the battle field.

"So does your Pikachu! I'm impressed!" Eeva called back.

"Okay, Pikachu! Let's get on with this!"

"Of course!"

Eeva chuckled at the pokemon's conversation. "Okay Eevan! Show me what you got!"

Eevan smiled and opened his mouth. A black sphere started to form and it shot over to Pikachu at a very quick speed. Shadow ball.

"Dodge it, quick!" The trainer boy desperately tried. Pikachu was too slow however, and was hit by the blast.

"AAAAHHHH!!!!" The electric mouse cried as he flew backwards to Ash.

Eeva smiled half-heartedly, empathy shown. "Eevan good job..." She nearly whispered. "Will Pikachu be alright?" She then called over.

"Pikachu? You okay enough to keep going?" Ash asked.

"Yeah! I'm- I'm good!" The pokemon replied, struggling to stand. The fire in his eyes was proof that he really wanted those Lum berries.

"Alright! Eevan, let's go! Double team then use Shadow Ball!"

"Dodge it and counter with thunderbolt!"

Both pokemon did as told, Eevan pulling off his moves, and Pikachu, his. After a long time with the dust kicked up in an explosion between the attacks, both pokemon were out on the ground. Both, unable to battle.

Both trainers ran to their pokemon partners.

"Pikachu/Eevan!!" They shouted.

"Your Pikachu fought hard! I'm surprised really!" Eeva complimented, after returning Eevan to his pokeball. Ash was holding Pikachu.
