Pumasok si Anne sa condo unit nila Karylle. Bumisita siya dahil sobrang worried na rin siya sa kay K. Ilang araw na rin kasi itong hindi pumapasok dahil may sakit ito. Gusto na rin pilitin ni Anne na magpa-check up na si K. Pagdating niya, malinis ang unit. Well, malinis naman talaga si K pagdating sa mga gamit.
"Karylle?" Anne asked habang hinahanap niya ito. "K?"
And she found her peacefully sleeping on the couch. She touched her forehead and neck to check her temperature. Hindi naman na ito mainit. Dahil dito, naalimpungatan naman si K. "Anne?"
"Hey.."
"What are you doing here??"
"How are you?"
Umupo naman si K. "I'm okay."
Silenced filled the unit. Inikot naman ni Anne yung paningin niya around then nakita niya yung wedding picture nila Karylle at Vice.
"Nasaan na daw si Vice?" She asked unconsciously. Tila nagulat naman siya sa nasabi. Gusto tuloy niyang batukan ang sarili. Hindi niya dapat tinanong 'yon. Kinakabahan siya sa magiging reaksyon ng kaibigan.
"K.. I.. I'm sorry." she said habang hinahaplos ito sa braso.
"Anne, ano bang gagawin ko? Ilang araw nang hindi umuuwi yung asawa ko!" Karylle is crying now.
"Saan ko ba siya hahanapin?? Ni hindi ko nga alam kung okay lang siya o kung kumain na ba siya! Anne ang hirap hirap!"
"He'll come back. Knowing Vice, he'll be back. Just let him for a while. He'll be back. Just wait."
"Lagi ko naman siya hinihintay eh. Kaya ko naman. Pero palagi na lang ba ako maghihintay? Bakit ba kasi ang hina hina ko?!"
"K, please stop. You know you're strong. Magiging okay din ang lahat."
"Anne, I don't-"
then Karylle suddenly lost her vision and she felt really tired and sleepy..
...
She opened her eyes. She felt really tired and really weak. The place she's currently at is not familiar to her. She tried to move her hand but she suddenly felt pain and so a silent scream came at of her mouth.
"K? Karylle are you okay??"
It was Anne..
"Yes.. Na andito ba si Vice?"
"Uhm.. K-" Anne stuttered. Para namang na saved by the bell siya dahil biglang pumasok ang doctor.
"Good evening. Are you Ana Karylle Viceral?" tanong doctor habang tinitingnan ang papers.
"Yes."
"Well I have some news for you. Anong gusto mong unahin ko, good news or bad news?"
Karylle got really nervous. Then she sighed, "Bad news po muna.."
"Well.. The bad news is you need to stay here for the next three days. You overworked yourself and you became super stressed so we'll have to make sure you're okay before we discharge you."
"And the good news is?" Anne interrupted.
"Well," the doctor smiled. "Mrs. Viceral,
You're 4 weeks pregnant!!
Congratulations!" The doctor announced cheerfully.
Napatayo naman si Anne from her seat at saka lumalit kay Karylle. "Giiiiiiirl!!! Narinig mo ba 'yun?? You're pregnant!!! I'm so happy for you! Akala ko talaga baog si Viceral eh. Congrats!! Finallyyyy!" halos mapatalon naman siya habang nakayakap kay Karylle.
Pinipilit pa rin intindihin ni Karylle ang mga narinig. Tila nanigas siya sa kinauupuan niyang kama.
"Good news ba talaga ito?" tanong ni Karylle sa sarili. Natatakot siya sa maaring maging reaksyon ni Vice. At ang masakit pa noon, buntis siya pero hindi niya alam kung nasaan ang asawa niya.
