Chapter 11 "Disappointments!"

(Minori's POV)

 I woke in the morning bubbling up with anticipation. Today I would be going on my date with Tori, and I just couldn't wait! I started looking through my clothes for something pretty to wear for the date, but then I realized that I could just change when I got back from school at 12:20 pm. I simply put on a purple blouse, black dress pants, and a pair of short black heels. I swept my hair into a bun with two black sticks sticking from it that had little diamonds hanging from them.

When I got to the bus stop, I was disappointed that Tori wasn't there. She hadn't been there Monday either... I couldn't help but wonder if she usually rode the bus...

I sighed in disappointment when she didn't show up as everyone boarded the bus.

I was even more disappointed when the whole day turned out like that, not word of her. She hadn't come to school that day, or so her friend, the beautiful Arianna, told me when she caught me looking for Tori. When she spoke to me about Tori, I couldn't help the jealousy that tugged at my chest.

Everyone knew all about the three exotic beauties that started the Art Club. Tori was the best known of the three, and somehow she was the most mysterious one out of the three. Then there was Arianna Karlstad, and Mizuki Bo Harlan.

While Tori was known as the beautiful tough girl with the respect of the whole school, her friends were well known by a different light.

Mizuki was known through her relationship with the infamous Cornelius Lawrence. Cornelius had graduated two years ago but his father was the Senator of Kansas. No one messed with him, and no one but Mizuki was known to have ever nicknamed him Teddy Bear! She may be small, but Mizuki had Cornelius wrapped around her fingers. Of course, Mizuki was also the daughter of the President of a music production company in Kansas.

That business was growing fast, and making millions by the day!

Then there was Arianna, she wasn't tough or had a powerful boyfriend. She had a powerful family, and an innocent beauty that had most of the men, and some women even, panting at her feet. But she was determined to stay single, or so the rumor went.

There was even a rumor that Arianna and Tori had a thing going on!

Oh, just thinking about that had me furious!

Today at our date, I was going to ask Tori about that, and I hoped to god that she really didn't have anything going with Arianna. I doubt my heart would take it! Not that I was in love with Tori, I just didn't want to know that a girl like Arianna Karlstad had something over a person like Tori...

"Damnit, who am I kidding?!" I cursed out.

"Miss Sen!" Mrs. Charmaine suddenly went with a tap on the chalkboard with a white chalk, "Do you have something to say to the class?"

"Ah, no, Mrs. Charmaine!" I said as a blush covered my face.

I couldn't believe where my mind had wondered too!

I've barely met Tori Saul, and I was already pining away for her. I couldn't help but wonder if it started that first time I laid eyes on her. Or if it happened after she agreed to participate in my art gallery.

I sighed.

She's actually the first girl I feel utterly attracted to, and the first person I probably felt like telling my secret...

Yet, logic told me she was a stranger.

She is ours! That thing inside me whispered, I've heard it before, but lately it was normally quiet.

I couldn't help but worry. Could it be that something was wrong inside me?

"It's the end of the day and tutoring will be held..." The afternoon announcements went on and on, so I got my things into my backpack.

Then the bell rang, and a second one rung.

I couldn't wait for the date!
