(Hikaru's POV)
"Ugh..." I moaned out.
The pounding in my head was beginning to subside, but there was a real sharpness when I tried to connect with Tori.
"Grrr..!" A familiar noise came from somewhere nearby.
"Oh look-y! It's a mongrel!" An annoyingly familiar voice pronounced.
"The kids coming around Tess." A gruff voice stated with an undertone to it.
I blinked, but a gray haze clouded my gaze.
"No use blinking those eyes kid," Another voice stated, this time it was soft and most certainly female, "Because you'll never see again for that matter!"
"You're lying!" I exclaimed in anger when my memories suddenly came flying at me.
First, I was running through the woods when I suddenly entered a clearing... Except that the clearing contained Dark Hunters! Shit!
Then that girl with her neon pink hair went ahead and said, 'Oh look-y! If it isn't a little hunter! Do you think I can keep him?' She said in that annoying voice of her.
Of course, being frozen in shock left me completely open to an attack from that one huge guy... And then bam! Out as a light!
"I can't believe it! The infamous chosen one is right here with us! Should we kill her?!" The annoying girl exclaimed in joy, "Maybe we'll become legends!"
"Ggrrr..." That sound went again but this time I recognized it!
Tori!
"Damnit Tori! These creeps are goddamn Dark Hunters!" I yelled out feeling vulnerable.
Our mental connection at least had been good for something... And this should've been one of those things! Except those creeps had done something with it! Damn them!
Don't try so hard kid! Calm down! You and Tori are to damn out of it! Breathe calmly and think...The beast snarled out at me startling me!
I was startled by her sudden appearance but then I remembered Tori's comment once, 'It isn't me you're tied to, it's the beast.' Those words made perfect sense now. Now I only hoped I could concentrate long enough...
"Agh..!" I gritted my teeth against the sharp pain in my head.
It felt like a million volts were going through my head and frying it!
"Yelp!" I suddenly caught the sound of a whine of pain, and knew for a fact it wasn't me!
Oh no... Tori!
"Tori, run! Damnit!" I gritted out.
"Aww... Look the little hunter thinks the little mongrel can get away! Isn't that so sweet! A hunter and a mongrel! What a laugh?!" The unknown female voice exclaimed with a trail of laughter.
"Shut up!" I growled out.
Then I felt a hard blow to my head.
"Agh!" I exclaimed in pain.
"That'll teach you to mess with our princess!" The gruff sounding man whispered angrily into my ear.
Oh hell, the pain suddenly became unbearable... The last thoughts I had were towards Tori's safety... Then the blackness swallowed me whole again.
