Before you stood a human male, a teenager at most, which made you whimper and crawl back in fear. The last human you dealt with was really mean and hurt you a lot, and you CERTAINLY did not want that to happen again, not when you were so close to being free. A hiss escaped you as you pushed your body against the brick wall and dumpster, having accidentally jostled your metal leg and making pain shoot from your knee up your spine and to your head.

The human seemed to notice you wince, and though a pair of aviator shades covered his eyes, you could see his eyebrows furrow in worry. You watched with wide, fearful mismatched eyes as he reached out a hand to you, having bent over slightly to see your form better. You flinched back once more, a louder whimper escaping you, your lips now trembling and eyes brimming with translucent (b/c) tears.

"I didn't mean to scare ya', kid." He spoke, his voice monotonous and his expression blank. You watched as he crouched in front of you, keeping his hands on his legs as he seemingly stared at you, taking in every detail of your tired and injured form. You noticed his jeans began to get wet from a puddle he rested in, bringing a small frown to your face.

"You alright? Someone as small as you shouldn't be out here all alone, especially not in this town with how much people seem to ironically love ferals." The male spoke once more, his voice having an underlying hint of concern. You lowered your mismatched gaze from his form, instead choosing to look at your tail as it flicked about near your injured leg.

"Oh…" His voice trailed off, drawing your attention to him once more. His brows were raised slightly, which worried you since you had no clue what was going on in his head. He seemed to be thinking, and pretty hard at that as his lips formed a thin line.

"Run away from your owner?" You were startled by the bluntness of his words, and couldn't help it as you dropped onto your side and began to pull yourself further down the alley, away from the human. Panic ran through your veins. You didn't want to go back to your old owner, and you knew this human would take you there, or worse, a pet shop. Quiet and pitiful whimpers and whines escaped you as you tried to crawl away, your movements only making your leg hurt much worse.

You suddenly felt the male grab you, his arms pulling you into his chest as you flailed violently, which was actually quite pitiful since your body was so weak. Your tiny fists hit the male's chest, your strength slowly slipping away until you just limply flopped against his chest, your breathing heavy as you tried to catch your breath.

"Wear yourself out, huh?" The male whispered, and you could hear the amusement in his voice, which irritated you. You moved your head to look at his face, a scowl on your lips as you stuck your (b/c) tongue out at him. The male released a chuckle as he held you flush against his form, one hand against your back and the other under your butt. He began to rub gentle circles on your back, keeping you close as he once again began to think about what to do with you.

You hated feeling so weak and easily succumbing to his attempts to soothe you. But for some reason, you felt yourself become tired, your eyelids drooping and for some reason, your cheeks felt wet. You made a confused face and pulled away slightly, looking at the male's shirt. Your eyes widened, fear evident in your (e/c) and white orbs and on your face as you stared at the stains from your translucent (b/c) tears that stained his white shirt.

You whimpered and looked up to the male's pale face, his skin as pale as his platinum blonde hair. You frowned slightly, wanting to see his eyes, but didn't want to anger him any more than he might be by removing his shades. And if he was mad, he wasn't showing it at all, which scared you even more. You sniffled and released a few hiccups, your small hands rubbing at your face as you suddenly released a yawn.

"I-I'm sorry…" You hiccuped, more tears running down your face that you couldn't stop. You looked down sadly, completely missing the confused expression that crossed the male's face before disappearing.
