Chapter 9

Annie's POV

The next morning

When I woke up it was 7 in the morning. Wow! Last night I had my first date with my crush I'd had for a little less than a year.

He asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes!

Both my parents were always working and away on business trips. I basically has the whole house to myself most of the time.

Cade had stayed over last night and was sleeping in the guest room across the hall.

I got dressed in a baby pink skater skirt and a white, sheer, long-sleeved top. I threw on some cork wedges. Chase helped me change up my clothing situation. I was in a crisis for help about my clothes. Thanks Chase!

I went into my bathroom and brushed out my dirty-blond hair that hung above my waist. I put in some makeup and went down stairs to the kitchen.

I made pancakes and when Cade was awake he came and walked up behind me, wrapped his strong, tan arms around my waist.

I turned around and hugged him back he kissed me on the lips and I kissed him back.

We quickly ate and he went home. I say around wondering what to do. I turned on the Tv and there was a commercial advertising Battle of the Bands.

Oh yeah! I need to get over to Chase's house. I brushed my teeth, grabbed my phone and purse and ran out to the car.

When I got there I walked into the kitchen and saw Chase and Russ kissing! I stood there quietly and watched.

When they were done eating each others faces, Chase saw me.

"Annie! Don't be a creep! Gosh!" She said in a joking voice. You could tell she was embarrassed though.

Then Claire walked in wearing her Steve Madden boots that matched her shirt, skinny jeans and cropped, sheer, blue shirt.

Jack followed behind her in basketball shorts and his brown bed head.

He starred at Claire. He totally liked her.

Then Maddie came bouncing in (not literally, I'm surprised) after Avery.

"So what happened?" Asked Maddie.

"About what?" I asked.

"Just now. What was Chase screaming at?"

"Oh!" I said. "Chase and Russ were kissing!"

Russ facepalmed and Chase looked down shaking her head.

"About time!" Said Claire. "How was your date Annie?"

"Amazing!" I replied remembering all the events.

"So, what did y'all do?" Chase asked.

"We saw a movie, went for a walk in the park, and ate dinner. Then we went back to my house and he slept over."

"Did y'all have a horrible time?" Jack asked.

"No!" I shouted at him.

"Okay, guys! Let's stay out of her love life and work on the songs!" Maddie said.

"Can we eat first?" Avery said quietly and quickly.

"Yeah. I'll make breakfast. Claire, go take Annie and catch her up on vocals for the songs." Chase said.

We walked to the couch and we started practicing.

Avery's POV

Y'all should know, I have a crush on Claire. But I'm too shy to talk to her.

She probably only thinks of me as a friend. If she would give me a chance I could show her that I'd've the best boyfriend ever!

Jack came over and said "Take a picture! It'll last longer!" Thank god he whispered that in my ear.

I walked over and listened to them practice. They were working on Young Love.

Claire started singing like an angel and Annie would repeat it.

"Young love don't know nothin' when the radio..."

I listened and starred at her beautiful face.

When they were done with that song she looked and me (when I wasn't looking at her like a creep) and smiled.

"Avery," she said. Oh gosh! I loved how she said my name! "Can you please go get your bass and play along?"

"Sure," I said. I got it out of the room where I was sleeping and walked back. She smiled and waved me over.

When breakfast was ready we stopped and Annie came up behind me and stopped me.

"Do like Claire?" She asked.

"Um, yeah, why?"

"Oh, she likes you too." Then we walked to the kitchen I say next to Claire and I wanted to hold her hand so badly!

She must have been thinking the same thing because she grabbed my hand and wove her fingers in between mine. We ate like that and enjoys each other's company.

When we were done Annie suggested we practice.

We practiced until the guitarists' and my fingers hurt so bad they were about to bleed.

We took a break and watched Psych.

Chase was snuggled up against Russ's chest and he had his arm around her.

I put my arm around Claire and she moved closer to me and put her beautiful head on my shoulder.

Maddie and Jack were elbowing each other in the ribs until one of them said "ouch."

Then Jack did something unexpected. He kissed Maddie passionately yet uncalled for.

When he stopped Maddie said "Jack! Where did that come from?"

We all looked started laughing but they ignored us.

"I've loved you for a long time! Maddison Rosell!"

Everyone stopped laughing. We all starred at them. Then Maddie wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. Long and passionately.

"Woah there!" Annie yelled.
