Russ's POV

We woke up early that morning.

She took a shower and finished packing.

Everyone put their stuff in the car and we headed to the airport.

No one wanted to leave, but we missed home. And I think Annie missed her boyfriend.

-----------

It was a long, quiet ride back to Texas. Once we got there we hopped in our car and drove home.

Me and Chase dropped everyone off first and I was about to drop her off, but she got a text from her mom.

"Russ, take me to your house. My mom just texted me and told me to call the police and tell them to go to my house."

"What's wrong?"

"I don't know, shh," she said. "Hello, please go to ________. My mom just texted me and told me to call the police and tell y'all to get there."

I sat there holding her hand comforting her.

"Okay, thank you. They're on there way Russ." She said.

A tear ran down her smooth, perfect cheek.

"Hey, Chase, it's going to be okay," I told her.

"I hope you're right Russell."

------------

We quickly ran into my house and started out the window at Chase's house.

"Russ, Chase, Todd, oh thank God y'all are alright!" Russ's mom said running to us and hugging us.

"What's going on? Why did my mom tell me to send the cops to my house?"

"Oh, honey, they left about 5 minutes ago. I don't know what happened?"

"Russ, please come over with me," she pleaded.

I grabbed a knife, don't judge, and held her hand.

We walked into her house cautiously.

"Hello?" I said.

"Russ, Chase!" Her mom ran up and wrapped us in a hug.

"Mom, what happened?"

"Oh, Chase, it was horrible," she said pulling away.

It was then that we noticed bruises, cuts, scratches.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Sit, on the couch, please."

We sat down. Chase held her hand as she continued.

"A young man, y'all's age barged in. He hit me yelling things like "where's Chase!" He cussed. He had been drinking. He hit me again. I was on the ground, unable to move. He ran threw the house tearing up everything in your room Chase. I texted you while he was distracted."

She started sobbing.

"Mom, it's okay. You're okay now. Russ, who do you think it was?"

I shook my head.

"He ran away before the cops got here. He was horrible! He's still out there! He wore gloves."

"Mom, what did he look like?" Chase asked. She was scared.

"Brown eyes, messy, brown hair. Strong. Tan. About six feet."

"Noah. Chase! It was Noah," I screamed.

"I thought he was arrested!"

"His parents are rich, they probably bailed him out."

"I'll call the police."

"Chase, pack your stuff along with your mom's and go to my house. I'll call the police."

----------

I walked them to my house and set Chase's mom's stuff in the guest room.

Chase was going to stay in my room.

The police were on the hunt for Noah, again.

Chase was scared. Noah was obsessed with her and she was afraid.

I held her in my arms. I stroked her hair trying to comfort her.

It started working and we fell asleep.
