"It's so beautiful out," I looked around the plaza while taking small bites of my frozen yogurt.
"I love summer in Jersey," Ethan said, "It does get pretty humid here though."
"Yeah," I agreed. "Where I was from, it rains every single day. I've never been one for the rain, but the summers were amazing over there."
"Where did you move from?"
"Portland, Oregon. I moved to New Jersey after my mom passed away. I guess my dad and I both wanted to start off fresh."
"An Oregonian eh?"
I nodded, "yep."
"Well, before I got sick, Gray and I lived part time in Los Angeles. We had a lot of friends down there and we felt like LA just had more positive vibes in general."
"I've always wanted to move down there. I went to Cali a lot for vacation when I was younger."
"I love it down there. The weather turns me on."
I laughed, "Does it?"
He smirked,"Yes, but not as much as you do."
I shoved him lightly in the chest, "Stop it, we're just friends remember?"
"That doesn't mean I can't like you," Ethan poked my nose lightly and skipped in front of me.
"I have to take a picture of you, you look amazing."
Ethan pulled out his phone and I immediately stopped him.
"Come on, please?"
I was never able to take photoshoots seriously, I didn't know how to pose, and never had the confidence to stand in front of a camera alone.
"I'm just going to keep walking," I said.
"That's fine with me," Ethan shrugged, sneaking a picture of me while I was walking.
"It's a candid," he tilted the phone to show me the picture he took of me.
"You know I don't like getting my picture taken."
I walked over to Ethan and looked over his shoulder so I could take a peek at the photo he took.
"It actually doesn't look that bad."
"You look cute," Ethan said, "I can't wait to draw this."
My eyes widened, "No! Please don't draw this."
"Why not?" Ethan frowned, "Nobody ever looks in my sketchbook anyway. Except for that poopass penis face Grayson. He's not very sneaky and I often catch him."
"I'm just not very fond of the idea," I said, "I'm already uncomfortable with getting my picture taken."
"Don't be," Ethan smiled.
