Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none. – William Shakespeare, All's Well That Ends Well

'Oh my God you did not!'
'I sure did.'
The table erupted into laughter.
'I'm guessing she left you alone after that.'
'Yeah, I guess she did.'
Justice brought the glass of juice to her mouth and took a long slip.
'It wasn't the best thing to do, but at least she didn't cause any more trouble.'
Abigail flashed her a smile and nudged the boy beside her with her shoulder.
'Elliot has missed out on it all.'
Justice furrowed her eyebrows. 'What do you mean?'
'I haven't been to school since I was fifteen. A fire was set to my house and it killed both my parents.'
'But he has us now!' shouted a kid from down the table. More laughter occurred. Justice shook her head and ran a hand through her hair.
'I don't think I've laughed this much in a really long time.' she confessed. Elliot grinned and wiggled his eyebrows.
'It's because of me.'
'Shut up!' Justice laughed and another guy playfully hit Elliot on the arm.
'What she means is,' said the guy as he turns to Justice. 'You've been going through a hard time.'
Justice shrugged. It was true, she had been going through a hard time, but she didn't want to necessarily admit it to those she had just met. She didn't trust people that easily.
'So is this where everybody has their meals?' she asked casually. Abigail nodded her head and Elliot responded.
'Breakfast, lunch, dinner. You name it. We usually hang out here after our training sessions.'
'About that, would I be able to join the young stars?'
The table goes quiet.
'We didn't exactly think that you'd want to.'
Justice folded her arms across her chest.
'And why is that?'
'Because we only just got here and you're already making changes in your life.'
Alistair strode across the room and took a seat next to his sister, ignoring Justice the best he could.
'I'm glad you're awake,' Abigail said to her brother, quickly noticing the distance between him and Justice. She raised her eyebrows in Justice's direction, but she was too busy staring directly at him. Elliot nudged her under the table, causing her to tear her gaze away from Alistair.
'You were staring too long.' He whispered. Justice acknowledged this with a small nod of the head, before turning towards Abigail.
'Alistair, you remember Elliot and the others?'
Alistair nodded his head as a waiter brought over his food and set it on the table in front of him.
'Mm,' he mumbled as he began to eat. Justice whipped her head towards him. He knew these people?
What other secrets had this kid been hiding?
'When was the last time you saw them Alistair? 2 years? Wait no maybe only 1.'
