He's broken
His wings have been torn.
His golden heart
It still mourns.
Taken for granted
Used, broken, and scarred.
He feels unworthy
Right in his heart.
He puts on a smile
And a brave face.
Maybe one day
He'll win this race.
This solitary angel
Living in our world.
Feeling unwanted
Leaving his wings furled.
He needs to see
To open his eyes.
To notice his loved ones
The one's who don't lie.
They'll be here
Until he's redeemed.
And like a dream
It will have seemed.
This amazing angel
With a heart of gold
Will grow stronger
And his wings will unfold
