Light and Dark

His wings were black
As hers were white.
They fell in love
On a frosty night.

All of heaven
Could not understand.
What kept them together
In the sky or on land.

She was his cure
His light in the darkness.
By her soft hand
He was blessed.

He was her passion
Her mentor in the night.
Changing her ideas
And her protective sight.

Off they flew
Being one with nature.
He showed her
A fun type of danger.

Over seas
And deep into trenches.
On through the trees
And knocking over benches.

The fear of being caught
Fueled their fun.
They laughed and cheered
Until they were spent and done.

It matters not
Whether you're dark or light.
Love know no bounds
If you put up the fight.
