ARE YOU READY FOR THIS?!

Carter's P.O.V
When I agreed to go on this trip, Lacey and I were on semi-good terms. Well not anymore, I can tell you that for sure. I didn't mean to make her mad at the game, I swear I was just playing around. Honestly, I'm surprised she was the one to punch me first, I thought Josh might've broken first. But her punch hurt like a bitch. Never in my life would I have thought that Lacey was the kind of girl to get aggressive and even if she was she really didn't look that strong and then Ryan came along. God, I really hate Ryan. Who does he think he is trying to be a 'boyfriend' to Lacey? I know his type and he'll be breaking her heart in less than a week. I'd be the better guy for her.
Wait, what?
Where did that come from? I didn't like her, I couldn't even if I wanted to. I was the idiot that jumped down the well to get her quarter and I was the idiot that told her that I didn't want to be with her. The whole well story was a big hit with my friends and I seriously thought it was fake, apparently not. We were meant to be together, I could feel it in my heart. When Ryan came up to me at the game to protect Lacey, something tugged at my heart. That should've been me in his place taking care of her. I should've been the one punching somebody because they called her a bitch and compared her to Courtney of all people. I felt like she was my responsibility since I was the one that joined us together and even though I know that she doesn't want anything to do with me I'm still going to keep an eye on her. You never know when she may need me. With all of that said, I feel like I probably deserved that slap. I was definitely not thrilled to be spending eight hours in a small vehicle with not only Lacey but Josh, Jacob, and Casey as well. I'm just hoping I make it to L.A with all of my body parts intact.

"Lacey, your mom said to stop procrastinating and get your butt down here! We're leaving in 10 minutes!" I shouted up the stairs. Why her mom couldn't have done it herself was beyond me.
I grabbed my bags that I had dropped by the front door and dragged them out to the huge van that Lacey's parents rented just for this trip because there was so many of us going. With a grunt I lifted up the suitcases and threw them in the back. Even though I still had some time, and probably even a little extra because I'm sure some of them aren't exactly happy to have me on this trip, I decided that it was probably safest to get a seat now so I don't end up sitting by Josh or Lacey. I think I'd be dead before we left the driveway. Thankfully, I had my iPhone and iPod to keep me occupied. I plugged in my new Beats and zoned out. Music was definitely a good way to pass time.
I was so into it that I didn't notice the van door slide open and a certain young lady enter. Hm, I figured she'd be the last one in. I watched quietly from the backseat while she pulled out her phone, sent a text off to a friend, and plugged into her music. Either it's because we're 'magically bound' or she just happens to have the same idea of using music to get through this ride but either way I know we have at least one thing in common. Or maybe two; we both really don't want to go on this trip! When I finally came back to reality, I realized that she didn't know I was in here with her. Hm maybe I could have a little fun with this.
"SO nice weather we're having, huh?" I let out loudly causing Lacey to let out a piercing scream and hit her head on the ceiling. Remembering what happened in the house, I leaned back and tried my best to protect my face. I've had enough slapping to last me a lifetime.
"What the hell was that for?!" she screamed at me.
"Whoa, calm down there sweetheart. Just trying to make conversation."
