My mom, my dad, and my family, basically everyone thinks I am dead, you name it. Little did they know that I am not. I have been kidnapped.
Kidnapped Dreams. Kidnapped Hearts.
"Why do you keep writing in that diary of yours? Anything special?" John asked. I met John here when I came to this camp. He was part of the people who came from my town, he is about the same height as me 5'8 with caramel hair and hazel eyes.
"I'd say it's my escape." I replied back. I have had this journal with me for a while, I brought it here and ever since I write how I feel and what I want in it.
"Anyways didn't you hear the bell? We have a meeting now."
"Again? These people don't seem to get tired" I replied back rolling my eyes
Ever since we got here we have a meeting twice a day with a particular district involved and in the meeting we talk about our improvements and what we'd like to see. Which is rather ironic because in the first place most people just want to go back home to their families. Hopefully ,they haven't lost hope.
Since I arrived here I have not contacted any of my family members, I most likely believe that they have tried to contact me and failed. Every time, I lay on my bed and ponder why I of all people would come here, some people would consider this their paradise but not me. Ever.
I got to the hall we had our daily meeting, I went together with my friend Angie, I met Angie here at this camp too, she was the first person that introduced me to the place and how things go on and since then we have been friends , best friends I'd say.
"Another boring meeting, same as usual." Angie said hissing as we got to the hall
"Surprise Surprise" I replied back
We sat on our favorite spot and looked over as General Matike spoke
"We are back again ladies and Gentlemen, we do not have much to do today, we just need you guys to sign the form that is behind you so that we can record your process. It takes about 5 minutes. After that, you may leave."
Don't we always do this?
Angie and I were able to get to the back of the hall before anyone else because the line was usually long. As I was about to sign my form expecting the same thing, I was surprised to see a different question being asked. "How far do you think you have come when it comes to dying to your desire of going home?" I looked over to Angie. She just shrugged
Really? Of all questions?
Honestly, I was quite annoyed with this question all I did was put a smiley face on the paper and got out of the line. They usually ask us questions like " How do you think you have improved this week?" so getting today's question was rather strange...If I were to truly write down my true answer to that question I'd say "Lol, that desire is growing stronger everyday."
"What did you put for yours?" Angie asked as we left the hall
"Does it really need an answer?" I said back smiling
"Well, I said that my desire to go home is not that strong." She said looking at me
"You know me too well by now to know what I put."
"That's one of the reasons why I like you, you are never direct and I love that." She said as we smiled at each other.
