"Babe! Come here a sec!"
"What is it?"
"I need your tall lanky body to hang this up."
Scott walked into the bedroom and saw his boyfriend on his tiptoes trying to hang a frame up on the wall.
He chuckled lightly to himself.
"Here, let me." Scott took the frame from Mitch's hands and hooked it up on the wall, straightening it to perfection. "There, perfect." He did a double look at the picture and narrowed his eyes. "Where did you get this picture from?"
Mitch smiled glancing over at Scott briefly then the photo. "Kirstie took it after we made a wish."
The photo was of them, sharing their first kiss at the Trevi Fountain in Rome on their tour last year.
"It's a good picture."
"Yeah." Mitch breathes out. "It is. I will always remember that day."
"And why's that?" Scott asked wrapping his arms around his boyfriends.
"Because it's the day my wish came true."
"Will you tell me what it was?" Scott whispered into Mitch's ear before resting his chin on his shoulder.
He chuckled and smirked. "You're gonna have to get it out of me, Hoying."
"Is that a challenge?"

Scott's eyes fluttered opened, squinting at the blinding light above him. Where am I? He thought.
His eyes scanned the room and nothing was familiar, there was a tray or metal objects on it, he looked up and saw an IV stand and wires connected to him. He tried to get his eyes to focus more until he came across three figures in front of him.
He let out a groan and it was as if he set off an alarm coz all three figures jumped out of their seats and rushed forwards.
"Oh my god, Scott!"
His eyes finally focused to see Kirstie with red puffy eyes next to him, he looked over the other side and saw Avi and Kevin with the same look.
"Thank the lord, you're okay!" Kevin sounded relieved but Scott was confused with what happened.
"W-where am I?" He managed to croak out.
"You're in the hospital, you've been here 2 days now." Avi explained not wanting to give out too much information.
"What happened?" He groaned looking back at everyone.
"You...you were in a car accident. It beat you up pretty bad, you've got uh..bruised ribs, a broken leg, a cut on your forehead and a concussion. Plus you lost a lot of blood..." Avi continued passing on the information the doctors had given them.
Scott's eyes widened at the news...he was in a car crash? He almost didn't believe it but where else could these injuries have come from? He scanned the room again and noticed something very wrong.
When he realised he sharply turned his head to Kirstie in worry.
"W-where's...Mitch?" Everyone exchanged looks at each other, Kirstie bowing her head trying to fight back the tears. "Why isn't he here?"
"I..." Kirstie started but Scott cut her off again.
"Where is he?!" He pleaded as his panic started to rise.
"He um...he was also with you in the car...when it happened..." Kevin hesitantly answered Scott.
"Oh my god! Is he okay?! Which room is he in?! I need to see him!" Avi locked eyes with Kirstie, who shakily nods her head at him. Avi takes a deep breath and places at hand on Scott's shoulder.
Scott watched his actions, clearly confused with what was going on.
"Mitch...um...h-he..." Avi took in a deep breath and blinked rapidly trying to dry away his tears. "He didn't make it, Scott."
Scott stared at Avi trying to process what he was telling him. "What?"
"He died, Scott." Avi said more clearly, Kirstie bursting into tears again. Kevin walked around the bed and comforted her.
"I-I don't u-understand..." Scott's eyes started to fill up with tears as he started to remember waking up in the car. "No...no! He isn't...he can't be!"
"Scott..."
"No!" Suddenly Scott started to rip out the wires attached to him in a hurry.
"Scott, what are you doing?!" Avi exclaimed trying to stop him.
"I have to see him! I have to! You're lying!"
Just by luck the doctor rushed in from hearing all the commotion. "What's going on here?!"
Avi was still trying to hold Scott down who had stopped struggling from the doctors sudden appearance.
"Mitch...I have to see him...is he okay?"
"Mitch Grassi, right?" Scott immediately bolted up more with hope.
"Yeah! Yeah that's him!"
The doctor sighed and took a step forward. "I'm afraid Mr Grassi didn't survive the accident, I'm so very sorry for your loss."
"N-no! Why-why didn't you do your jobs and save him?!"
"There's was nothing we could have done, Mr Hoying. From where the truck hit the car, it crushed the passengers seat with a lot of force judging from the speed it was going at, Mitch's neck would've snapped from the impact. He was killed instantly. I'm sorry, we couldn't do anything to save him."
A single tear started to slide down Scott's cheek as he took in the doctors words. Mitch was dead. His Mitchy...was dead. This was real. What was he going to do now? His best friend and boyfriend is dead. Everything's going to change now. No more Pentatonix, no more Superfruit, the fans will be devastated, but that also meant his plan to marry him, to start a future with him...that's not going to happen now.
Scott then bursts into tears at the realisation of where his future is headed. He's going to have one...without Mitch. Without his everything. Avi, Kevin and Kirstie gathered on his bed and joined in on grieving with him, comforting as much as they can.
Scott managed to choke out a few more words before he cried hysterically again.
"But he can't be..."
