Warning: drug use

Scott has been wondering the streets of LA for hours, not specifically going anywhere. He just needed to clear his head a bit, try to find some answers for himself.

With Pentatonix over or on a hiatus, whatever it was, Scott didn't know what to do with his life. Should he go solo, start a career of his own? Find a new romance? Was it too soon to think about that after Mitch? Well he had to think of something because his behaviour now wasn't going to get him anywhere. He might even end up losing everyone who cares about him. And he was not prepared to lose anyone else.

Nighttime was soon approaching, Scott didn't know whether to head back or not but the sound of loud pop music in the distance brought him to curiosity.

Regretting it already, he stood outside of a club. Already drunk underage teenagers with fake ID's  were flooding the place. Scott didn't care about that though, all he could think about now was the next drink he was drawn to having.

He reluctantly stepped in being engulfed by the loud music that was pounding into his ears. God, he couldn't even remember the last time he was seen at a club, they'd always gotten use to throwing parties of their own.

Scott made it to the bar, waiting to be served, the bartender over on his right was giving him a proper stare though. Although Scott couldn't tell if it was a good stare or a bad stare. The bartender finally walked over to him with smirk plastered on his face as if to indicate something.

"What can I get you, sir?" The brunette man asked, resting his hand under his chin.

Scott looked around, making sure this was the right choice to make right now being here. He shook his head deciding to ignore those thoughts and smiled back at the bartender.

"I'm not looking to spend a lot tonight. So what's your cheapest yet strongest beverage?"

"Oh didn't worry about that, I'll give you the first 5 drinks on the house from me." He winked which made Scott uncomfortable but he decided to play along if it meant he was getting free alcohol.

"Thanks babe, then I guess I'll have...you know what? Just hit me with everything you got." Scott smirked seductively making the bartender blush deeply. He got out 5 shot glasses and a bottle of Devil Springs Vodka.

Once the glasses were full, Scott took no time in downing each one of them leaving the bartender shocked.

"Wow...bad day I'm guessing?"

Scott set down the last glass and sighed, taking in a breath. "More like bad week."

"That sucks, but if you need your mind taken off of it, then I get off at 12." Scott looked up at the young man, raising an eyebrow at him.

"What's your name?"

"Marcus. How about yourself?"

"Scott."

After a couple of drinks later, Scott was too drunk to even remember the name of the guy he's been chatting with for the last half hour. Not like he cared , he was only flirting for the free drinks. May seem a bit harsh, but he has not been in the caring mood all day now.

Scott held his drink up, pointing one finger at Marcus. "You havebeen very good to meh. Hit me!"

Marcus eyed him worryingly as he poured him another glass. Something must have been bothering him that bad, he thought.

"So, uh, what brought you here tonight? You don't seem like the kind of guy to wound up in this kind of place."

"Everyone is expecting somethin' from me, and don't know what or wanna know. I keep makin' bad choices."

"Yeah I see where you're coming from. You can't impress everyone, you make mistakes. Maybe sometimes the mistakes are unforgivable, I know I've made a few in my time. Lost someone 'cause of it. But you gotta go solo and see where you end up to clear your head."

Scott leaned in closer, widening his eyes. "Don't tell me you killed your boyfriend too!"

Marcus's eyes widened, stepping back a little.

"Sorry...are you insinuating you killed your boyfriend?"

"Well...it was an accident!"

Marcus looked uncomfortable so he decided to save himself from the situation. "Right, I uh...gotta go....serve some other....yeah." And he left without saying anything more leaving Scott confused but he shrugged it off, downing the rest of his drink.

Scott looked around at the scenery in front, watching young adults get drunk and grinding on one another.

He remembered him and Mitch being like that when they got into their first club together. They weren't even together, just very drunk that night.

Now he remembered the time he and Mitch always stuck together, attached by the hip as people would call it. They'd never let anyone get in the way of them, not even their boyfriends at the time. That's probably why their relationships always ended. But in the club it was different, they were protective of each other, always making sure the other was safe and okay while still having fun.

Scott couldn't breathe, the reminder of him and Mitch was sending his mind into overdrive again. Suddenly the people and music all became too much, he couldn't see where the exit was but he knew he needed to get out. He started pushing past people in a hurry, just to find somewhere where he could breathe properly.

Luckily he made it outside but it wasn't the way he came in, that's for sure. he started to think that maybe he was out back.

He leaned against the wall, breathing heavily trying to gain back some of his breath.

"Hey dude, you alright?"

Scott turned his head to look at the group of men sitting against cars. He nodded quickly and choked out a short response. "Yeah, fine."

One of the men stood up and walked over. "Nah man, somethings got you bothered. Why else would you have ran out here like you were being chased?"

"I...don't know...too many things on my mind...wish I could forget."

"Like what, man?"

Scott smacked his head back on the wall, thinking about Mitch. "About...everything, I want to move on with my life, let loose. Forget about...him."

The man smirked and led Scott to walk over to the group of men by the cars. The guy took something from one of the other men and handed it to Scott.

"I know something that can help you relax in a way. It will defiantly take your mind off...him."

The man smirked and led Scott to walk over to the group of men by the cars. The guy took something from one of the other men and handed it to Scott.

Scott looked at the drag in the other man's hand, taking a step back.

"Woah man, nah I don't do that."

The man chuckled. "You don't 'do' it, you smoke it. And trust me, it will help any problems you have."

Scott hesitated eyeing the spliff now in his hands. "I don't know..."

"Go on man, just one toke." Scott held the spliff between his fingers and brought it up to his lips...

Taking a deep breath, he slowly took a drag, holding it in for a few seconds before exhaling the smoke. He coughed hoarsely feeling the burn in his throat already. The man patted him on the back while Scott continued to cough.

"Thanks man." Scott managed to croak out.

Just when Scott regained his breath back, he took another toke and another one after that. Slowly gradually becoming use to the taste.

It wasn't until 10 minutes later he started to feel the full affects of the drug.
